“Very good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

There is very little to fault about this hotel. The staff are friendly, efficient, helpful and knowledgable about the area.

The rooms are top notch and very comfortable.

The hotel has a 2-3 restaurants and the food is pretty good, although I would say if you have time it would be better to find a restaurant in the centre of Zurich.

The location is excellent. The tram from the airport stops over the road from the hotel and only takes 10 minutes to get there at only 6.6 CHF!

Everything was just spot on. Highly recommended!

Great hotel, pretty close to all shopping but still be prepared to walk. I used points which I thought was a good deal. Regular rate seemed quite high at $400+ but I guess that is Zurich!
Breakfast was really nice but also quite steep at almost $40 USD pp. Very nice and helpful front desk staff.

We stayed at the Zurich Marriott for one night only before flying back to home town. The hotel is located 15-20 mins walk from the train station. If you carry large luggage, it could take longer. The lobby is quite nice with 4.5-star level. The lady who checked in for us, Alexandra, was really professional and patient in answering our questions as it’s our first time to Zurich.

They gave us a room on 36th floor with views of the river and the city, which was really nice. The room was very spacious with everything you would need. Bed was very comfortable as well. We haven’t had one meal in the hotel as our package did not include breakfast. Since the hotel is a good 20-25 mins from the main shopping area and restaurants, I would suggest you purchase their breakfast plan so you do not have to spend over half an hour searching for food in the morning.

Overall, the hotel is at 4.5-star level, both accommodation and service, only the location was a drawback.

We stayed here for two nights.we booked an executive room with executive lounge entrance.the lounge offers free breakfast and snacks.in our booking it said breakfast included so we had breakfast on both days. On check out we were told to pay for breakfast which we thought was included.the said it was only the breakfast in the executive lounge included which was basically the same but finished earlier.anyway they decided not to charge us.we paid a lot extra for this room and not including breakfast but having the executive lounge included did not make sense. Other than that the hotel is great.located a bit far from the city

I have recently stayed in this hotel and I must say I was expecting much better, especially considering the fact that we are talking about Zurich...
The location of the hotel and the view from my room on the 29th floor were both amazing, but the rest was nothing too special.
The room I got close to the elevator was really tiny, with no much space to move around and to feel comfortable. The buffet breakfast, which was included, was served in a lounge that turned out to be really small for all the people having access to it. It was a little bit annoying having to struggle to find a table, which I had to clean myself since the lounge attendants were too busy and insufficient to assist all the people.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay because of the nice location and view and the attentive staff. But I was expecting the room to be more comfortable and spacious and the breakfast to be better.

I personally think this Marriott could do a lot better.

This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at. The service was excellent. The room was huge for Europe standard. It is within walking distance to the train station which really helps. The bed was really comfortable. I would give it a 10 out of 10.

This Marriott property is really a good one. The location is ideal, very short walk to the train
station and old town area for shopping and dining. The view from our room was very impressive
looking down on the river with the lake in the far background. The rooms are very nicely done
with all the conveniences you would expect from a high end Marriott. Beds are very comfortable and no noise problems for sleeping, although there is an ambulance station next door. During the day we heard them departing with sirens on. I don't think they use them at night, as we never heard the medics truck in the evening hours. The executive lounge in the lobby is like heaven on earth. Great food and drink, all day and night. A great place to relax and sip a glass of red wine, enjoy a snack or use the computer if needed. The hotel also offers a very nice breakfast assortment. The property has great dining options as well. We ate at the Echo Swiss Restaurant which was delicious, comfortable and good service. The hotel staff here is efficient and kind. Our stay was really quite wonderful and I would not hesitate to recommend this Marriott if you are visiting the Zurich area. As mentioned in previous reviews, there is an adult shop down the road from the Marriott, but we chose to take the path along the river that is a beautiful park setting and you miss the busy street traffic and offensive adult store posters. The 5 minute distance of walk to town square area is the same and much more pleasant. The taxi ride to airport is a bit expensive and the hotel does not offer a shuttle. Everything is expensive in Zurich, so it goes with the territory.
