“Extremely Nice Marriott”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

This is a quality business hotel. In fact, it is as nice as some of the Ritz Carlton properties in the U.S. My family and I were very pleased with the amenities and the location. The restaurants in the hotel are very expensive, but the hotel is walking distance from a hotbed of activities and dining establishments. A great choice for a stay in Zurich.

Great American-style hotel in heart of city. Walk to just about everything. Had a great experience from start to finish.

Front desk staff VERY helpful. If you fly into ZRH, take the train (7 Euros) to the main train station and you can walk to the hotel in 6-7 minutes. Don't need to rent a car or pay for a cab. So easy to get around.

Room Tip: The city of Zurich offers FREE bike rental just north of the train station. Rent a bike and ride on...

Good location with easy flat walking distance to Main Station, Old Town and Tram's. Rooms in the new wing are large and comfortable and bathroom is also a good size. Staff are polite, helpful and multi lingual, WiFi is not cheap and I must admit was a little surprised that they charge for it as most don't. Breakfast offered a good range of quality food, we would stay again.

Room Tip: New wing is nice and spacious.

The Zurich Marriott fits rightly to the laid down bench-marked standards for which this brand is known for.
Location: Located quite close to the station, easily walk able distance. The hotel is next to the riverfront which gives a good view from their rooms and nice refreshing feel if you take a walk down.
Food: The restaurant serves quite a good spread of Swiss food and cheese. The in-room service was even fast.

The staff are extremely helpful esp. at concierge, restaurant. The room service can be called for cleaning as per ease, without any botheration.

Cons:
i. The price charged by the property is quite expensive. Try getting a deal from other sites. If they decrease the price a bit, would be a lot helpful.
ii. They do not have a pool.
iii.Found the rooms bit smaller, but okay!!
iv. Ensure you get a package with internet as the charges are exorbitant.

Room Tip: Higher floors facing the river

I stayed here for one night only on a business trip to Zurich. It's a very convenient hotel that offers decent value and I felt very comfortable there. The gym is on the 3rd floor overlooking the river and was empty during the afternoon. There is also a sauna, but no swimming pool. I would recommend this hotel to other business travellers.

Room Tip: I had a single room on the 32nd floor, which was small but absolutely fine. Nice shower!

Stayed for 5 days with Family excellent location. Staff is very friendly and there is always something to eat and drink in executive lounge. We ate breakfast and dinner almost everyday in executive lounge they have lot of choices. About 8 min walk from railway station . Safe to walk from railway station to hotel late night with kids. We would definitely stay there again...

Pros: Executive Lounge.. Will save you lot of money in your trip!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

After riding trains from Rome to Milan, then through the Alps to Zurich, we needed a rest. The deluxe room at the Marriott was just perfect, with a view of the river, king bed, and two bathrooms. Our choice to stay in the hotel for dinner was a good decision, although expensive. The reviews of the Thai Restaurant were inviting, but we chose Echo, the Swiss cuisine. Nice cheeses and a pleasant local Pinot Noir made us enjoy the beef entree even more. After dinner we walked the nearby riverfront, across pedestrian bridges, and through the park.
Zurich Marriott Hotel was the best lodging we had in Europe. It was with regret that we rolled our bags the short distance to the train station the next morning. We hope to come back and see more of this beautiful city.

Room Tip: River view rooms are a bonus.
