Popped in here for a quick burger dinner with friends, mostly out of curiosity to see if this, yet another Oz themed restaurant, falls flat on its face, as is usual elsewhere I had the misfortune to experience these "creations". This place, on the first glance is fun, and does not take the whole Aussie signage and the stereotypes too seriously, though it has its share of crocodile crossings, nets and fake Aboriginal cave paintings, but it is deafeningly loud. So much so, that one cannot really relax or enjoy it, speakers blaring Crowded House right above you, made worse by large long tables favouring many group celebrations making it almost uncomfortable to stay. It may be that the other side of the bar may be quieter, but the main body of the restaurant is just one noise bucket. Burgers were OK, nothing to get terribly excited about, but not bad, proper Aussie style with pineapple (ananas) and beetroot and really proper potato wedges which would be familiar to anyone who spent any time in Australia. Service is beyond ordinary, the waitress opened the wrong bottle of cabernet sauvignon, didn't even bother to offer any of us to taste, just poured it out like it was lemonade to the tilt of the glass, and when she was told it's completely the wrong producer, did not apologise once, looked annoyed and went and got the correct bottle, but never reappeared, we had to pour our water and wine throughout dinner. Will not be going back.
