We stayed there for 5 nights but chose not to stay the last night. They would not refund us for the last night even though we asked them a day before. When asked for soap and shampoo, we received a dirty look and the staff was obviously irritated for no reason.

My wife and I stayed here in May 2005 . From the rail station , it's a 10 minute walk uphill and a bit downhill , so we got a taxi ( 10 Swiss francs ) .
It is a budget 2 star hotel run by a christian church and seems a bit overpriced though this may be typical of Lausanne prices . It is undergoing renovation and needs it . Late evening ( 9. 45pm ) definately gave the youth hostel effect with some young people yelling out to each other .

Our room which had been already renovated , was small, clean and tidy . The wall behind the bedhead was concrete and painted yellow . The opposite wall and ceiling was of imitation pine panelling . We had a nice view of the lake but stayed off the balcony as the safety rails had been removed and replaced by scaffolding . The floor of the balcony didn't look that great either with cracks everywhere in the concrete .

In morning I saw a guy sleeping on a matress in the corridor of the ground floor. Maybe they had ran out of rooms as the first three floors were out of order . Breakfast was basic . There has got to be better places to stay . I do not recommend .

I lived in the hotel for 2 days in last month.
My room is facing the Geneve Lake. The view is very good. Besides this, nothing attract me to live in this hotel again.
First, there is a long road & walk upward from the train station to hotel.
Second, I feel the hotel like a youth hostel more than a hotel.
Third, the lamp is quite dim in room.
Overall the hotel is okay, but for a tourist, like me, feel some unhappy of this hotel.
