“Perfect location in Lausanne”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

Hotel has the best location just on the Ouchy waterfront, on top of the metro station and the tourist information office. Booked on their website and you get a 5% discount which is great. Upgraded on arrival to a room with a balcony. nice and quiet in the evening and overnight. Brilliant choice of TV channels - the main 5 UK ones and more. Breakfast perfectly adequate. Free wifi was very speedy - possibly the best wifi I have ever had in a hotel.
Rooms good in a standard sort of decoration and facilities and one of the best shower pressure I have had in a hotel as well. So glad I stayed there.

It' s my third stay here and I'm loving it as always.
This Hotel has a fantastic location, a superb view to Lac Léman, very friendly staff and a great Restaurant "Le Pirate"...
I will be back for sure :)

Attended a conference in Lausanne. Hotel rooms were spartan in a Germanic 1980's kinda way. very functional. but not overtly comfortable. My room faced away from the lake so no view. Lake facing rooms must be better. Breakfast more than adequate, but no fresh fruit, just a chopped fruit salad.
Location was excellent. right on the lake front by the marina and park esplanade. If you like a morning run or walk it is perfect.

The last five days of our honeymoon were spent at this lovely hotel. Our room had a huge balcony five floors up, overlooking the lake. The room was lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was basic but ok. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Very well placed for the metro, bus and boats.

Room Tip: Get a lake view

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is fantastic! My room was on the 6th floor, and the view was unbelievable - so beautiful!

The hotel is located on the northern shore of Lake Geneva. There are miles of walkways along the shore of Lake Geneva, especially heading east. A very short walk to the east is the Olympic Museum. And just around the corner from the hotel is the metro stop which takes you into Lausanne as well as the train station that goes to the airport.

The hotel is simple but nice. There is always fresh fruit in the lobby, and they give you a free pass for breakfasts and local transportation (like the metro) when you check in. Free wifi, also.

The breakfast was great! They have hard-boiled eggs, or do-it-yourself boiled eggs, various toasts and pastries and jam, yogurt, fruit, ham & cheese, and cold cereal. And coffee and juices. It was really very good.

No fitness center, unfortunately, but I found the surroundings to be very safe. There are always people running outside, so I felt safe running at 5am before sunrise. And the paths were well-lit.

Regarding the staff, they are very helpful. In fact, I forgot a charger there and they kindly and immediately offered to mail it to me. I was so grateful for their honesty and willingness to go above and beyond.

The rooms were definitely comfortable and clean. My window faced the afternoon sun, but there was a very nice, motorized awning that opened or closed depending on my preference, and that blocked out all light even in the middle of the afternoon.

The hotel even offered a free bottle of water, although you do need to bring your own amenities. (Soap is provided.)

Overall it was the location and staff and food that really put this hotel over the top for me. I hope someday I will be able to return.

Room Tip: I would request a room on the 5th or 6th floor facing due south (i.e., facing the lake).

There has to be a better hotel than this one. Only thing it has going for it is location.
Is probably best to eat in one of the many surrounding restaurants if you can for probably a little less cost and better quality food.
The perch was in batter or breadcrumbs (hard to tell really) swimming in loads of butter and oil with chips and piece of lettuce. Way too greasy. Half bottle of water was 4.5euros compared to almost 5 euros for wine. You'd think water would be reasonable here.
That person who said you must ask for a room with a view was right, my view was over some roof area so it could have actually been situated anywhere.
Bathroom a little dared with soap dispenser next to sink and nowhere near the shower with one of those smelly patterned outdated shower curtains.
When I asked the woman on reception to book a taxi for the morning she looked at me like I was completely stupid and had just asked her for a train ticket. When I asked her what the problem was she said there was a taxi rank over the road where there is normally taxis. Clearly if I'd known that or noticed it I would not have asked so she did not need to act like I essay completely stupid for asking- whatever happened to customer service!
A disappointing stay.

Very nice hotel and staff. The location is very good. Metro a few steps away and shops, pharmacy, tourist office very close. Comfortable and clean rooms. Good restaurant and rich breakfast. I strongly suggest the lake view rooms. The view is fantastic!
