“Good hotel in a convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Stayed in the hotel for a few days; the rooms are a little on the small side, but they are nonetheless functional and I had everything I needed. Wireless Internet is offered for a fee, but works well. The connection is unencrypted, but I didn't have any problems running a VPN over it, and I didn't have any random disconnections.
The bathroom has a large bathtub, which was a nice surprise. Overall it was quiet, the curtains blocked light well, and so I was able to get plenty of rest. If I recall right, the room had a balcony, which I didn't use, since I was out in the day. The staff was friendly, fluent in French and English. They cleaned the room well every day. I also got a ticket for free public Metro transportation, which is convenient, seeing the hotel is right next (20 metres, no need to cross any street) to a metro station, taking you straight downtown (otherwise a 10ish minute walk, partly uphill). Breakfast was not included (at least, not for free), but there are bakeries and cafés nearby that you can have breakfast in. A watercooker and some English Breakfast tea mixture is provided in the room, together with glass cups. Overall, I'd definitely come again.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 114, which was a bit away from the elevator, and thus somewhat quiet. If you can get...

The Nash Carlton is a convenient stop on the one subway line that runs through the city. It is only about five minutes on the subway to the center of town.

This hotel has small rooms but normal by European standards. Rooms are affordable but breakfast is 20 euro/person and is not worth the money for the quality and selection. Parking is also pricey at 42 euro/2 nights parking.

Hotel is nice and clean and the staff is helpful but it's a bit run down and with a little more research, you could find something closer for the same or better price.

Stayed there for two nights in December 2012. The hotel room was ok, bath amenities were lacking, the breakfast was averege and poor for a 4star hotel. Hotel staff was kind. Furthermore the wi-fi was not free

It has beautiful rooms and, clearly, was once a grand hotel. But they have an inviting place that looks as if it could be a convivial bar, lounge--and they don't serve alcohol or anything else for that matter. Consequently, there's no opportunity to socialize. It's on a quiet street. You feel the silence and the lack of animation.

Adequite in Swiss reality price. Good location - just 2 stops by metro to embankment - Ouchy and some stops to the center. Nice cafes and small supermarkets nearby. Also liked the design of the room. And what is also good - a tea pot in the room.

Wi-fi is not for free

Overall stars - 4 of 5

Hotel staff - 3.5 of 5
Restaurant staff - did not use

Room - 4 of 5, nice decor, a little worn and dim lighting, but it doesn't warrant point deduction.

Bed comfortable rating - 4 of 5

Room size – medium

Restaurant / breakfast - did not use

WIFI - chargable, but they give a 1 day transport card. Useful.

Spa - did not use / not sure if they have
Room Tip - nil

I left my prescription glasses there at the hotel and left for Paris. I emailed the staff to ask if it was found and they said yes and after a couple of email exchanges, I gave my credit card details and contact details for them to send to me on Nov 13. It is Nov 20th now and I have not heard from the hotel AT ALL despite sending 3 chaser emails. Ridiculous!

These are prescriptive glasses and they are expensive! Not to mention a major necessity. If you cannot send them, at least let me know.

Staff I contacted was Alina. Even her response has been quite curt.

Terrible. I do not even care how the room was. The attitude of the staff and the response of this hotel to my problem is terrible.
