“Perfect setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

I believe that if you go to Lausanne, this is the place to stay, especially in the winter months with it's Christmas lighting. The entrance lobby is spectacular and so is the vista. You somewhat feel in a different era. Shopping starts right outside the front entrance, so convenient. I had a massage and it was pretty good, not extraordinary. The spa I feel had an outdated look compared to the rest of the hotel. The room was large, but we had a suite so I cannot speak for the standard ones. As for the restaurant, we went to the Brasserie and it was beyond amazing. For one thing the food, wine and service were TOP, but really the atmosphere was unparalleled. The who is who of Lausanne was there! All in all, we had a lovely stay, and we surely will be back.

Room Tip: Definitely on the lake side!

i stay here quite often . I just arrived tonight . The Palace is illuminated all over . It is magnificent . i have never seen such a wonderful Christmas lighting . Inside , the hotel ( recently renovatyed) is just grand : very spacious (you could drive a car in the corriodors) , the rooms are spacious , the views on the lake are stunning , it has several superb bars and restaurants and the service is very good . This is an hotel in a category that only (still) exists in Switzerland . To be recommended , in alternance with the Beau Rivage .

Staff extremely snooty. Spa felt like something out of the 70's, small and dingy( especially the ladies area) the food was excellent both for breakfast and dinner at the sushi restaurant but again staff extremely unfriendly.

Location fantastic if you want to be in the centre

Rooms were recently done up but still felt the art decor was out of place and dated

We have more than enjoyed our stay at this hotel where we spent New Year's time.
the quality of this hotel is outstanding for comfort, elegance and great service: kindness and great attention to the customer is what distinguishes it and what will make you feel very very comfortable. The spa is also very relaxing and elegant: we absolutely recommend it!
The position is perfect for anywhere you would like to go in Lausanne, being in the very centre.
Thank you again to the superprofessional and extraordinary staff.

The Hotels is located on a privileged location at the heart of the City of Lausanne, it offers great F&B outlets to wind out and have a warm atmosphere, although the service is quite slow, the daily f&b service is well maintained. The rooms a darkly decorated and have a rusty look. Hotel doesnt offer a propper room service after 23:00 the food service at late hours are terrible both in taste and in Service. My room had a technical error and this problem has been handeled with minimal professionalism and hospitality, furthermore i have been forced to stay in the room with no electricity, neither a room change was offered nor an apology has been made. Price/Performance does not add up. As a luxury traveller i was really disappointed with the shield of Leading Hotels of The World placed outside this hotel, Probably because the GM was the ex chairman of LHW thats how they get to keep the Leading Status.

Lausanne, as most of Switzerland, is boring. Charming lake but let´s keep it there. The landscapes are thrilling but a city has to offer more then an beautiful landscape . Although the hotel is something else. One of the best ones I stayed in my working days (went there for a seminar). For the ones that have´nt seen Lausanne it is worth one trip. One only. The hotel would be fantastic if we could reproduce it in every town we stay. Professional staff in a "not a wrinkle" ambiance. I studied in Switzerland in my teens so I really know what I´m talking about. If your trip is only of staying in hotels this one would be the right choice. Well...to have fun... I would advise else.

Room Tip: Lake front.

EXELENT HOTEL AND SPA IN HIGH CLASS
We traveled on business trip in Monaco, France, Italy, Swiss, Germany.
And this hotel and SPA and Restaurants in Lausanne made one of best from best memories. Classic style all exterior, interior, rooms, restaurant and leisure-spa in this hotel. People at dinner time in restaurant just having party or talking business with Swiss bankers for millions and billions. Service stuff very pleasant and very best service in Swiss style.
Especially we loved pleasant communication with Chief Manager Lady on leaving this hotel.
Rooms to Lake Geneva side are much better feelings than rooms into city side. But furniture and entertainment and bar are all rooms equal and made with great taste.
SPA wiev to Lake Geneva side with small nice garden to get fresh Swiss alps air after sport or massages.
