“Worth every Swiss Franc!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

Exceptional service and exceptional quality were what I expected from this hotel and it did not fail to deliver. The staff were wonderful, knowlegeable and helpful. The food was delicious and I loved the outside bar area sipping wine in the sunshine. I will be returning to this fantastic hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a Lake view, it won't disappoint!

Stayed at Chateau Ouchy while attending a course at IMD and the experience was very nice.
Interior is recently renovated, room well appointed and location is perfect, actually on the lake shore and right next to running or walking tracks. Metro is right in front of the hotel.
Stayed at a rooftop room (only downside is that lifts only went up to a certain level and from there on had to take the stairs) which was large with a nice bathroom and shower, lots of space, good tv and internet.
Breakfast was traditional, nothing special, served at the restaurant with a view of the lake.
Staff were quite mechanic, no special greetings or anything but efficient. Check in was a quite OK, but even though I arrived at 15:00 at first they told me they had no rooms available; after insisting they gave me a room.

It definitely lives up to the expectations of a beautiful Swiss Chateau. Old stone exterior shows the beauty and the heritage of this city by the lake. Once you walk in though, the place is amazing. Freshly renovated interior and beautiful views of the lake and the mountains can't be compared with anything.

When you take in the price and the perks, the view and the absolutely amazing rooms, this place is a must whenever you are in the area.

Room Tip: Most rooms have a view, although asking for a nicer view room while you are making reservations migh...

We have been to the Chateau d'ouchy already 3 times and it is diffently one of the greatest hotel in Lausanne - clearly smaller than the other palaces in town but with a nice friendly and family atmosphere. The big plus is that it is just impossible to get closer to the lake. Also, if you have a chance, stop by the restaurant, really nice and tasty meal especially fresh fish from the lake.

Excellent hotel, beautiful design inside, nice staff, admirable breakfast at the lakeside and top location of course.

Room Tip: You must have a room that goes to Lake Geneva!

I stayed here for two nights in October and I am utterly charmed! I would definitely stay here again for my next visit to Lausanne. I stayed in room 216 (the room occupies the entire 2nd floor of the old tower, with the lift opening to the front *small* hallway).

The minute you open the door, you will be wowed :). similar to other rooms in the tower, you will have views of lausanne from 3 of your four walls (lake geneva, the town etc) and high ceilings. bed is fantastic but pillow is quite soft. you can request a firmer pillow but i opted to pile up all four already provided on the bed (heavenly). the room is very tastefully and elegantly furnished and you'd have a bowl of sweets (which is topped up daily) for the length of your stay! Bathroom is huge!

there wasn't a tea/coffee making facilities in my room but coffees here are better had outside, in the fresh air :).

the ouchy metro station is just 200 metres away and you get free ticket from hotel for the length of your stay here (common for lausanne hotels).

because of the thick castle walls, you won't get any wifi in the room, but you can get it on cable or wifi in the lobby.

breaksfast spread is adequate but could be better!! i would definitely recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway - i wish i wasnt travelling alone!! :)

Room Tip: (1) get higher floor, views can be blocked by trees if you are on the lower floors (2) get your bre...
