Stayed at the Agora Swiss Night for one night on business. Hotel is in the midst of a significant renovation and everything -- lobby, rooms -- feels and is brand new. Only problem was that the renovations were still ongoing during my stay, including in the room right next to mine. This meant loud construction noise up until about 6:00 pm, and then starting again at about 8 am the next morning. When I asked if I could change rooms to get away from the noise, I was told that no other rooms were available. This did put a damper on my stay, and I would think that, once the renovations are complete, this will be a very nice, well located and well priced hotel very convenient to the Lausanne train station and about a 10-15 minute walk from central Lausanne. The breakfast buffet is quite good, and, located on the top floor of the hotel in an all-glass dining room, offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. So, overall, a good place to stay -- once the renovations are complete.
