As others on here have stated, this art museum is a rather bizarre collection of art work, from primitive child like art to more complex and intricate work by artists who mostly had no formal training. The museum is on about 4 levels, and not only displays paintings but 3D objects of various types - one being masks made from unusual objects. Many of the artists had serious mental problems and used this as a form of therapy. It perhaps solidified an impression that art is not what you see with your eyes, but what you see in your head. Some of it was quite stunning. The museum is obviously well respected by art schools as there were numerous students there copying some works. It has a small entrance fee and depending on how long you examine the works, an hour or 2 is easily spent.
