“not easy but worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

it is a long walk, hard climbing (around 2.5 hours, 750 mr.) but when we almost reached the sky it was outstanding! take water and sandwiches.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

You need to take a train to get into Zermatt as it's a no-cars resort. Once up there, it can get very busy and it's a must visit location but it's not very expensive
Plenty of hike to chose from, we took the telecabin and walked down, going through a little village. Once you are at the top, you are amazed by the quietness and the beauty of the scenery.
We went there mid-May but couldn't go all the way to the top of our hike as it was still closed due to the snow.

“yep... and even better in person”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

One would have to be pretty numb to not be astonished by this mountain. It is beyond iconic, beyond striking. The Tetons, the Rockies, the Jungfrau, the Eiger,... all gorgeous. The Matterhorn is hard to describe, but perhaps startling or jaw-dropping comes close. Wow.
