Very clean hotel in great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. The only disappointing aspect was the wifi which worked for the first half hour, but then I could not get Internet access even though I was on the network. A boost to their wifi system would just add to the otherwise great experience.

As the hotel is off the main street, it is quiet. It maybe a little difficult to find especially if you are walking from the railway station. Although the rooms dont have a great view, the hotel has an open terrace which has a good view of the Matterhorn.

The rooms are well equipped and clean. The internet was good - room charge includes the same. The breakfast was basic. Overall service was very good and check-out was quick.

A little off the main street, so nice and quiet. Clean, modern furnishings and bathroom. The room was quite small but this was offset by well designed and arranged furnishings (think cruise ship cabin) that made the most of the space. We stayed only one night and it didn't bother us; but a week might be different. This coming from a pretty big person. The breakfast was very good. The staff was helpful, friendly and provided good advice for dinning and an evening walk. We took a taxi from the train station but found that it wasn't necessary; it was an easy walk back in the morning, even dragging luggage.

I stayed two nights in a single room.
Location is fine, as Zermatt is relatively small, but it is uphill from the main street.
Staff were very friendly & informative, breakfast was basic but adequate (no hot food, but boiled eggs).
Bathroom had shower in a very high-edge bath - may not suit everyone.
TV had very good selection of English channels, though not all listed showed a picture.
WiFi was fine on first floor. Liked having a desk area at the end of the room.

Two things that could readily be improved...
- replace rough, well-worn towels (worst I've found anywhere I'm afraid)
- mount TV in the corner of the room, not flat 2/3rds of the way along the wall

Personally, if I went there again, I'd probably look for an alternative but could well be hard to beat on price in a ritzy little town like Zermatt.

3rd time staying at this hotel as it is the preferred hotel for Big Mountain Bike Adventures (was on a private trip organized by them). This is a very nice hotel in a quiet area of Zermatt. The hotel has done major room upgrades since my last stay and they are really nice (bathrooms mainly and internet on all floors). During our visit my wife broke her leg while mountain biking and the hotel staff where amazing in assisting us. They faxed documents off to Canada with no charge and assisted with all sorts of local arrangements. They where truly compassionate and it was greatly appreciated. For persons biking in Zermatt they have a great (big) lockable room to store and work on the bikes.

Everything about this hotel is petit. Stairwell, elevator, rooms and even breakfast area. However it is neat and well organised. We arrived in a hurry to deposit our luggage as we had to hurry back to catch train up gornergaut, staff at recep was efficient, checked us in 2mins and carried our luggage up to our rooms. Excellent service
