Owner description: The paradise for families. From Zermatt, you reach Sunnegga (2,288 m. above sea level) in only 4.5 minutes with the underground funicular. At Leisee lake, families can enjoy an adventure playground with attractive barbecue areas. Take a refreshing dip in the lake, or play Robinson Crusoe as you cross the water on a wooden raft attached to a cable that spans the lake. Off to the land of adventure!

“Cable Car Rip Off”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

If your using Euro's as we were beware of taking the Cable Car to Blauherd and Rothorn. First off you dont pay when you enter a car at Sunnegga so you dont find out how much it costs until you get to Blauherd. Its there you get the shock when your asked to hand over €88.00 for the return fare which I feel is way over priced for a total journey of 1,630 metres. So if your not stuck for time, fit enough and the weathers ok walk the 815mtrs up and down yourself. You'll feel better for it and your wallet wont have been lightened.

“A great place to meet.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

The self service restaurant is great, make sure you get there in plenty of time for a table. The food is good even though it is self service. Good quality fare.

“Death by potato rosti”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

It is difficult to hate somewhere with such amazing views... but by the end of the holidays I came close to it. The self-service restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Yes it may be quick, but the food lacks imagination and any flavour. Chicken nuggets and fries, greasy potato rostis, salads swamped in mayo... you get the idea.

“Great place for beginners to initiate skiing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

This is really a charming area for beginner of all ages! We saw a few three years old to a few people in their sixties here starting their lessons. My daughters started here and within two days, were already going on larger, steeper slopes. Beautiful views of Matterhorne!

“Best Views of the whole valley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Beautiful place to ski with undoubtedly the best views of the whole Zermatt valley...you can see from one side of the valley clear across to the other...all the way to Italy...
