I visited Matterhorn Glacier Paradise in June 2013 during summertime. It wasn't really cold outside and there was a stunning birds-eye view of the Swiss Alps - in fact, one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited.
Now Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is located indoors and on the basement level. It was an entirely different story when we stepped into the world's tallest glacier. It was freezing and at one point I almost felt as if my fingers were about to fall off even though I wore gloves and thick clothing. I just cannot imagine what it'd be like if I went there in the winter. Please bring your gloves, hot packs, scarves etc. because it was one of the coldest places I've ever been to.
Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, despite the fact that it was freezing, was sheer enchantment - it felt magical with all the different objects carved out of ice, the ceiling was also padded with beautiful crystal-like glaciers.
Overall, a tourist attraction definitely not to be missed! But remember to brace yourselves for the freezing cold!
