“A Delightful Alpine Haven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

I stayed at Cervo Lodge late in the season... the last few days of October. The resort is simply delightful, of very high quality throughout and dedicated to a genuine desire to make ever traveller enjoy their mountain stay to the fullest.

While the period I was their the Sunnega Lift was under repair, the lodge was quite prepared to pick me up on arrival and drop me at the station upon leaving.

Staff were lovely (thanks Ali) and the views from my room and the restaurant captivating. There can be few grander sights than The Matterhorn set against a brilliant blue sky before venturing out to walk the wegs, ride the rails or ski from the highest pistes.

Our plan was to originally stay at Cervo for 1 night.... and extended it to 2. The service was tremendous as were the accommodations. Upon arrival we were treated like royalty from the time were picked up at the train station to the point where our luggage was delivered to us for departure. The staff met all of our needs even late night mineral water. They also provided great restaurant recommendations upon request. Our room was great with an amazing view.
A definite repeat location for us. We had a wonderful time.

Room Tip: All rooms are great

My wife and I stayed at the Cervo Zermatt for 2 nights in October 2013 on our honeymoon, and the entire experience from booking to checking in, to checking out was amazing.

As it was our first time in Zermatt, we enquired on the double deluxe rooms with good views of the Matterhorn and Julia kindly advised that Chalet 1 had great views. We then asked if it was possible to have a room in Chalet 1 and she reserved a room for us. And that was way back in April 2013. Upon check-in, the Matterhorn views we had from the room was superb!

Closer to our trip, Niklaus from Cervo actively dropped us an email to remind us of our stay and if there are any queries we have on the stay. As the hotel is higher up the village (to get the great views), we informed Niklaus on our arrival time in Zermatt and a direct pick-up service was arranged. As mentioned, the entire process was as smooth as it could have been.

Breakfast was also an amazing experience both morning, with splendid quality and variety of food, and excellent service, especially by Ali (he is a pro-skier by the way!).

But the most outstanding experience was that even after we left for Lauterbrunnen upon check-out, Niklaus informed us that we had left behind our iPad and travel notes at Cervo and personally contacted me to enquire on our next locations in Switzerland so that he could co-ordinate to deliver the items to our hotel at Lucerne. And we did receive it!

Thanks Julia, Niklaus, Ali, and the team from Cervo Zermatt! You have made our honeymoon stay at Zermatt a memorable and wonderful one! If we are to return to Zermatt, we definitely would choose Cervo again! No doubt about it!

Room Tip: Chalet 1 has wonderful views of the Matterhorn! Alternatively, Cervo would advise on rooms with good...

The service at Cervo was the best I have ever had and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It is a fabulous setting up on the hill with great views of the Matterhorn. Room and facilities were excellent. Also free pick up service which was a bonus. Top choice!

This place is just wonderful. It's quite far from the station, but they've got free pickup service when you arrive. Wondering how you're going to go into the city? There's an elevator outside that took you right down to the place that's the station for Sunegga Paradise.

The staffs are super friendly and helpful. The rooms and amenities are very, very nice - like a modern chalet (we also got free upgrade as well). The view from the rooms are nice too. Breakfast was superb.. And if you've got the chance, dinner here is very good as well.

We stayed at Cervo Hotel for 2 nights in October, and it's nothing short of wonderful! The receptionist was very kind as she took time to sit us down to tell us about the sights at Zermatt. Unfortunately, we did not manage to go to Gornergrat bahn because of the cloudy and rainy weather. But the town was a lovely visit for us, make sure to try the local restaurants, they may look small but the food there is of great value and really delicious :D

Cervo hotel is very chic, the rooms are spacious and you get a great view of the town and the Matterhorn here, it definitely feels modern and they pay special attention and service to every guest. A lady decidedly just gave us a fresh vase of flowers on our first night to put in the room just like that :) & all amenities are by Molton Brown (which is another quality plus). The breakfast was good also, and the chef helps you to prepare more food if you request. Ali from the restaurant was super friendly (Hello!) and made us really feel welcomed :)

This is a definite must-stay hotel in Zermatt, don't even think about booking anywhere else :)
One thing to note is that the front dest is not 24-hrs, so make sure you ask all your questions and get all your help before they close up!

Thanks Hotel Cervo for the great stay, if we're ever lucky enough to travel back to Zermatt, we'll be staying with you again! Cheers <3

We stayed at Cervo Hotel for three nights in the beginning of October. The experience exceeded all our expectations. The service was fantastic, the room incl. amenities likewise and the food was very good. A particular plus for delicious breakfast.
