We reserved a Junior Suite for one week during the "off" season (January). The room was beautiful, large and comfortable. But based on online pictures, the smaller rooms do not appear as comfortable and look a bit small. There are very few places in Zermatt with ski in-ski out, so that feature is great. Hotel is a bit out of the way, but it is very easy to get to downtown area via elevator next to hotel. Bar and restaurant are very good but expensive like the hotel. Very few freebies here -- you pay for everything. But we did not think the overall cost was outrageous for Zermatt, especially considering the very high quality of the accommodations, restaurant and staff (who all speak excellent English and usually several other languages). One caveat: do not share a room with someone you do not know well. The bathrooms in the smaller rooms and junior suite are open air with the rest of the room (see pics online) so there is not much privacy.
