If you want to enjoy a nice evening in the middle of Lugano, with good recommendation (food / wine) this might be place to go.

“Now a trendy place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

The owner is now the chef after having attended a good cooking school. He has completely redecorated the restaurant and it is now trendy. And with good food! Sass cafe is located on the main piazza which is really the center of Lugano. If you live here or you are just visiting, it is worth it. Just remember not much here in Switzerland is "cheap".

“Ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013 via mobile

We visited for a glass of wine and maybe a dinner. There were 5 types of white wine by the glass ALL of which were dry, and the menu was in Italian only so we didn't bother with food. A restaurant in a tourist area should have the menu in French and German at least, they must lose a lot of non-Italian speakers.
