The Galleria epitomizes what eating out should be all about. Excellent service, personal attention, attention to detail, top class food, relaxing ambience, and reasonable prices. Ate here quite a few times during a recent stay. If I had discovered it earlier, would have eaten more times! It is away from the main square and that is its main USP. It does not attract chain smoking tourists and visitors, or those toting their dogs to dinner or other hordes who are more interested in being seen than the meal.
There are 3 wait staff, and each excels the other. The moment they knew we were vegetarians, they remembered it each time, and once I was ordering a dish that did not show any meat. Pablo immediately pointed out the error in the English translation, and he immediately offered to modify it to suit us. The caprese salad, the pizzas, the pastas were all excellent. However, what took the cake was the gazpacho soup. It was just heavenly. Never had any thing like it any where. Gazpacho is becoming a rarity, and it was a pleasure to enjoy it here. Had it every time I dined here.
The place is busier in lunch time than in the evenings. So, you will enjoy a very quiet and relaxed evening. The wine list and the prices are unbelievable. There is no reason to pay the prices that the restaurants in the main square charge. Head over to the Galleria, and you will experience some of the warmest service along with genuine Italian cuisine. Say hello to Stefano for me! On the last day, Pablo bid me goodbye with a Namaste!
