“Affordable luxury in St.Moritz”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

The Kempinski of St.Moritz is probably the most affordable 5* Hotel in St.Moritz. Of course it's nothing for a low budget, but somebody who likes to spend a nice weekend in two, it's the right place. The rooms a very big and you find there every gadget. Service is perfect and the wellness area is huge.
The hotel hasn't a great view on the lakes but it's located very well: 100m from the cable car, 100m from the lake and in the winter it's next to the cross country ski run.
....and in the Kempinski St.Moritz you get the best breakfast in Switzerland.

Beautiful hotel, expensive but worth it considering spacious clean rooms, scenic beauty all around and courteous staff.

Food quality can be improved but with gourmet choices available through out St.Moritz didnt really miss it. Breakfast was good.

Although the weather didn't require it but the hotel doesn't have air conditioning which I thought was a plus as we enjoyed the fresh air through a large window and a balcony :)

The hotel was very luxurious and high class, yet it wasn't snobbish in any way. It was comfortable, cozy and welcoming. We stayed in a double room, which was of a very high standard. The breakfast was incredible! Spa is great, yet the pool is quite small. The only problem might be that its a bit far from the St Moritz city centre....

Excellent service, the rooms were big and comfortable. But I think the absolute highlight was the breakfast, anything you can think of is available.

I had the most wonderful two nights here - the service is superb & the position is excellent. Nothing seemed too much trouble & everyone was very friendly. I do think the suites are expensive even for such high quality so only gave 4/5 for value.

The views are stunning and it's a short walk into St Moritz centre and the lake

The Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski St.Moritz truly lives up to its heritage and standards.
It is a very nice and luxurious property and provides a cosy and comfortable atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are great. The shower has a lot of water pressure. There are small balconies with chairs that invite to spend some time in the sun.
For breakfast there is a large buffet with all kind of delicious things and the bar at night is stylish and create a sparkling environment
The Spa is one of the best and nicest I know. There is a variety of different saunas which are all uniquely and beautifully designed with a lot of wood that gives it a traditional mountain resort touch. The swimming pool could be better though and a whirlpool is somehow missing. The location of the property is good, it is only a 5 minutes walk to the Signal cable-car that takes you right into the ski resort.
The staff is efficient and mostly friendly. While F&B and Front Office staff is very helpful, staff in Guest Services (Door, Valet, Luggage) could improve slightly in their attitude. Maybe even some guests who do not look like a tip, will give something extra if service exceeds expectations.
