“Ski holiday Feb 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

As usual; everything as you need it at the Beausite Park Hotel. Excellent service all round, rooms are impecable, the restaurant is a delight and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel facilities are the best in the village, pool + sauna + wellness. The new managers Denise and Daniel maintain the family ambiance from Mr and Mrs Leemann who still pass by to help out and see their old friends - guests who continue to return (as we do) every year.

Room Tip: All rooms facing the village with balcony are best

This was our first time in Switzerland and we could not have picked a better hotel to stay in. Our room overlooking the mountains was beautifully laid out and large enough to accommodate the three of us comfortably. Each afternoon we would return from our adventures to find it spotless and tidy with wonderful thoughtful touches, like when our carelessly abandoned scarves had been artistically draped into the shape of a heart on the bed :)

The staff were wonderfully friendly and attentive, and Daniel and Denise go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

Our son has not skied properly before so we acclimatised ourselves with some gentle tobogganing on the gentle nursery slope which is just outside the hotel. We didn't even have to walk into the village and pay to hire toboggans - the hotel kindly lent us some free of charge and gave us advice on the best places to go.

We also made use of the lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi a few times which was great. It was lovely to be able to wander down in the towelling robes supplied by the hotel and not worry about the hassle of changing rooms and lockers.

As our trip took place during half term and the hotel was fully booked we were a little concerned that it may feel a bit frenetic. We needn't have worried, the staff coped magnificently and we never once felt neglected or overcrowded.

We loved the Beausite Park Hotel so much that we will be booking again for the same time next year. This time we plan to drive from Exeter in Devon rather than taking seven trains :)

Room Tip: Wonderful views from the mountain facing rooms.

Staying in the Beausite Park Hotel now ranks as my favourite hotel experience.... we really appreciated the warm, relaxed, yet attentive atmosphere Denise and Daniel have created for their guests. All the staff were engaging, smiley and good fun and ready to help immediately with any request. One evening when our waiter thought I hadn't enjoyed my main course (not the case, was pacing myself through the 7 courses on offer and saving a space for dessert!) he was insistent on bringing me another option.

Ute did a great job running the bar in the evenings. It was perhaps a good thing that I didn't try her mojitos and margaritas until the last night as I would probably have blown the ski hire budget on them!

Housekeeping and cleanliness standards are faultless.

Our room looked out onto the mountains and the view was truly breathtaking, especially seeing the sunset reflected on the snow covered peaks.

And if you can manage to pull yourself away from ... the skiing in Wengen is fantastic. Just got to save up now so we can take the children back!

Room Tip: Treat yourself to a mountain view.

This will be our fourth visit to this wonderful place in Wengen and we were a little apprehensive when we learned that Mr & Mrs Leeman had retired .If anyone reading this feels the same please do not worry the standards are still extremely high and Daniel and Denise have just continued to supply their guests with all the friendliness, courtesy ,and luxury that Mrs Leeman always gave. This is the only place in the world we have ever returned to so that alone tells you just how magical it is.The service from the staff is just incredible, anything you need or require is there in an instant and the service we were given by the receptionist was quite remarkable. She organised a trip we wanted to take right down to the times of the trains and then to book a taxi to connect us .Truly amazing, all with a beautiful smile. What a pleasure to stay at such a fantastic hotel .Now to the food......just superb. Thinking about the Swiss Night and the Pudding Night alone makes your mouth water. Such a fantastic array of quality food presented in style, that for us sums up this hotel.STYLE,QUALITY,LUXURY and the wonderful caring staff. Please stay the same and thank you.

We have just enjoyed yet another year at what is truly the Jewel in the crown of Wengen in the beautiful Swiss Alps.

Despite the semi -retirement of Mr & Mrs Leemann who have run this fabulous hotel for more years than I care to remember, I am happy to report that my family have once again had a memorable vacation at the Park Hotel.

The new hosts welcomed us in the now familiar and warm way that we have become accustomed to from Mr & Mrs Leemann.

Denise & Daniel, along with a host of new faces, managed effortlessly to maintain the already high standards set in previous years. Every aspect of our stay at the Park was without fault, a rare thing to find in this day and age. The staff could not have been more helpful.

The food, including the speciality buffets, were once again outstanding. Unfortunately the diet must start today.

This year saw a new pianist at the hotel. By far the best so far, this fantastic musician catered for all and was an absolute pleasure to listen to both in the bar and the restaurant. His repertoire seemed endless as he played upon request almost anything.

All the things that have kept us going back to the Park each year are still in place and working well watched over on occasion by Mrs L .

Many thanks and kind regards to all concerned, and may Mr & Mrs Leemann enjoy a long healthy retirement in the knowledge that Denise, Daniel and their daughter have stepped into the Leemann family shoes quite successfully.

The McRae family.

Room Tip: If it is quality, service and rest after ski-ing you require then look no further.

We have just returned from our third visit to the Beausite Park and whilst the hotel is now under the management of Denise and Daniel, the high standards and good service remain. Mrs Leeman is still about in the background, but the day to day running of the hotel is now left to Denise and Daniel. Everything about this hotel oozes Swiss efficiency, from the daily servicing of the rooms, to the lovely swimming pool and Spa. The 5 course gastronomic dinners are wonderful and served with friendliness by the team in the restaurant.....and I say team as the staff all work together ensuring that every guest has their meal at the right pace and their wine glass topped up. Breakfast too is excellent with an array of food to set you up for the day.
The rooms with a view of the mountains are really worth the extra and the location means that it's just a few steps and you can put on your skis and ski down via the nursery slope to the cable car.
The skiing here is quite extensive and plenty to keep most people occupied for the week, and whilst we were there the snow just kept coming making conditions hard going at times. However my heavy legs were soon sorted out when I had a massage in the Spa. Heidi the therapist is professional and her massage was excellent.
As I have commented before , this hotel isn't cheap, but it is a wonderful place to stay , and on each occasion we have had a great time.

Room Tip: A mountain view is really worth the extra, don't miss it.

The clear skies and good snow throughout proably boosted our mood but we had a great time here at the end of January. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and I thought the pool and spa facilities were excellent. Perhaps the most pleasant surprise was the quality of the food at dinner, which was consistently excellent throughout. Lots of Brits at the hotel, many of whom I think are recurring visitors.

Room Tip: I would recommend getting a Jungfrau view room if you can.
