We walked through the town of Murren trying to decide where to have lunch. Settled on the Edelweiss because they had items our kids recognized and thought sounded good. They have a beautiful patio area with gorgeous views of the mountains and valley, but it had become super windy and our server advised us to choose a table indoors. Several of the outdoor diners had to move inside. We decided on a pizza, a pasta, and a rosti. The rosti was the best one we had on the trip. It had ham and an egg on top. Very tasty! All of the food was good and the dessert homemade and tasty. Service was awkward. It appeared that our server left the premesis midway through our meal. Eventually, the other server took over our table. Luckily, we were in no hurry, as it was cold, wet, and windy outside. The paper placemats had a great colored map of the area on them. We had a fun time pointing out all of the areas we had hiked. The Murren restaurant scene is a bit strange. If you are looking for a place with basic, recognizable food, and don't mind paying inflated hotel prices, this is a good choice.
