The feel is really amazing, I am in love with this place. Comfortable and relaxed. Service and staff are excellent, they are very friendly & helpful. Would recommend this place to one and all.

We had the most lovely room over looking the River. The room was gorgeously presented and had all the amenities with plenty of storage, it was just lovely. We specially requested a room over looking the rive and received it at last moment. Thanks to front desk Manager.

Don't miss the Biryani, Chicken Masala, one of the best food I have ever had, Better than in my country. :-)

This hotel have an amazing view , perfect location & near to city & station.

Thanks India Village Staff. Will Surely come back soon.

We went to the restaurant on our recent trip to Interlaken. The restaurant van picked us up from the hotel Victoria. When we reached the restaurant, we saw tons of flies. I understand it might be because of back water lake behind the restaurant or hills however my kids refused to eat at the restaurant because of flies. I couldn't agree less. We left without having our food and had our dinner at Spice of India.

this hotel or rather guesthouse in Interlaken is across the river from the interlaken ost station ,but the bridge is little far off so you have to go around, the location is such that you cannot reach by bus/train, so you have to take a cab if you have luggage oterwise it is 12-15 minutes walk from station.Ofcourse the hotel provides shuttle but charge 12 francs per trip.
The rooms are of good size and neat and clean, free wifi is provided.tThe linen was clean and neat. The bathrooms are basic. They have a kitchenette in the room but the stoves are not functioning and you are not allowed to use kitchenette. Moreover they dont provide room service. The food is good but too costly. They immediately need to put up intercoms in each room to communicate with reception.Coffe makers and safe vault would be a welcome addition in the rooms.
Overall it was a good experience but could be better with some efforts from management

Room Tip: they also have quadruple rooms with 4 beds, room number 11 is one of them

When I booked, it was advertised that the room would be basic with a lake view and alps- but there was no view whatsoever. The room was horrible the only positive was clean bed linen. Yet to mention customer privacy being compromised as there was one window.. which had no curtain!

The description of what is available on the site, is described as 'buffet' which is actually only 3 times a week.. the priced menu is way too unreasonable! It is as though your eating gold!
And if you are like me looking for a hotel a walk a way from the station the walk is horrible, well in the dark at least! There is no footpath! A long walk (no it is not 13 minutes if you are looking at google maps!) if you are dragging along suitcases and it is not well lit at all! For us it was raining heavily too! So it was an awful experience.

I agree with Puneetmehra, and yes this hotel has two names, apparently two building on the same premises. We stayed in India Village Backpackers and met people who stayed at the youth hostel and they said it was lovely there and not far from the station (Interlaken OST).

I was prepared for a basic room to pass the night but honestly, you would hope that no matter how basic it may be that the room would be clean!

Do not stay at this hotel, it is really not worth it! I am really disappointed because I read some good reviews! Bu this is really honest!

We stayed during the second week of April'13. I was travelling with my parents. Excellent accommodation. Nice view of the river and the mountains. Could park the car just in front of the door. Quite and peaceful area.
The kitchen is almost ready to support you at any hours and the food is one of the best Indian food I have tasted in recent times.
It is quite near to the station and is almost in a stone-throwing distance from the city-centre. Internet was also available at the rooms using Wi-fi.
I liked it and ready to visit again.

Room Tip: You can suggest to get a river view.

We arrived on Interlaken ost station and could see Indian flag jst on right side of the platform. The pick n drop service was very good and because of it we could save more time. The food we got was equally good as the services and was value for money.
I will definitely advise to all tourists from India who are traveling to interlaken and wish to have good food- they should come to Indiavillage.
Iwill suggest to spend at least a night there in the river faced rooms aswell.
