We stayed at Hotel Victoria Jungfrau in August of 2008.
What a WONDERFUL experience. Our rooms were beyond expectation, the view was incredible and the hotel staff were so accommodating and made us feel so at home.
We had beautiful rooms overlooking the grand lawn and gardens in the front of the hotel. It was peaceful and quiet, yet were all of the action was during the day.

The room service was exquisite and we enjoyed that ever day at least once. The Hotel Restaurant was wonderful too. Great food and the breakfasts each morning were to die for!
We loved the location of the hotel because it was right next to where the main street's activities started. It was also close to the train station where we were able to catch a horse drawn carriage to catch the cog wheel up to the top of the Jungfrau.
We plan to go back to Europe every summer from now on, and when we do go back to Interlaken, we will definitely stay at the Victoria Jungfrau again. You may think it's a little pricy, however, it's well worth it and you'll be so glad you stayed.

The spa is an experience all by itself. We are frequent recipients of massages wherever we go, and seriously, this was the best massage I've ever had. The massage therapists were very polite, they made you feel right at home, they were professional and really knew what they were doing. I could tell they had been trained by the best. I had the most relaxing experience ever. The spa is so beautiful inside and so clean and comfortable. Right when you walk in, the light and fragrant scents in the air make you want to melt. They definitely know how to serve their guests at Victoria Jungfrau; Interlaken, Switzerland.

I visited this hotel in October and had a wonderful time. I found the staff to be over-the-top helpful, especially a very sweet concierge named Herr Wyss, who helped us with a million little things during our stay. The spa was amazing - and using the saunas and pools is free of charge for guests. Don't miss the outdoor heated salt water pool! I can't say enough good things about this place. It is the real deal, huge spacious place, with very attentive staff. The setting is stunning. I ended up traveling on all over the country after my stay here but wished I had stayed right there at the Jungfrau the whole time.

We were planning to stay at the Victoria but the hotel was fully booked for the dates we requested.
We decided to have dinner at La Pastateca one of the restaurant attached to the hotel. It was a great dissapointment. Pastas and fish were blend and tasteless. We avoided the wine sold by the 10cl at astronomical price. Overall bill was too expensive for the quality received.
Staff apologized when we complained about the quality of the food even though the problem emanates from the kitchen and not from the service on the floor. Avoid this restaurant for the time being and until management provides serious improvements to the formula.

  • Disliked — Pastateca restaurant only: overpriced, blend and tasteless meals, overpriced wine list

Stayed here while traveling through the Alps. Tour company booked the hotel. We were pleased with all its choices. Weather was great and we got to see Jungfraujoch in sunshine. Food was abundant and good at the hotel. Loved the yellow awnings over the windows that go up and down at a touch of a button!

We've been to Interlaken several times, staying in different places each time. This was the best experience by far - although the fabulous weather all week may have biased us.

We got a very warm welcome at the registration desk, special "passport" for our younger child, and smiles from people in the breakfast room every morning who got to know our faces.

This old hotel did not seem old on the inside - it was in very good shape. Our rooms (a pair connected by a door) were large, luxurious, and the bathrooms were very modern. We had robes of different size thoughtfully provided for each member of the family. Fruit and chocolate each day. There were not a lot of children (more on the weekend), but those that were around were well-behaved and ours certainly felt welcome. During this very warm week, we were initially surprised to learn there was no air conditioning, but we found opening the windows worked fine and was refreshing. The air was great and there were no bugs. We never felt the room was too hot. The pool with outdoor saltwater jacuzzis was fabulous. The main pool would occasionally get a little crowded with lap swimmers, but the congestion would generally resolve within 10 minutes and was surprisingly empty most of the time.

We found the service to be outstanding overall. On the day we left, the doorman handed us each a bottle of cold water and gave as a very warm sendoff. We had a great time and would have no hesitation in returning, even at the admittedly pricey rates and unfavorable current exchange rate.
