Upon arriving at this unassuming restaurant, the plain white decor and unusual abstract art do not reflect the indulgent nature of the dining experience. The owner greeted us in perfect english and the waitress also had a good understanding of english which helped in understanding the menu and how it worked.
A selection of amuse bouche arrived in quick succession on porcelain spoons. Prawn on apple salad, carpaccio of tuna on wasabi mayonnaise, steak tartare on tarragon sauce and then a delicate soup with perch. There were a selection of entrees and main courses to choose from with options on fish, venison and beef. All beautifully presented with a great deal of style.
The desserts were also perfect with a choice of either carpaccio of pineapple and a sour cream ice which was very light and cleansing or a gutsy chocolate pudding. Petit fours and handmade chocolate creations emerged which we didn't think we could manage after all that delicious food but strangely they were light and refreshing and we polished off the vast majority on a high.
Upon leaving the owner and her husband, the chef, waited at the door to wish us a good night which was a lovely touch. It gave us the opportunity to thank him for creating the amazing experience and to look out for my highly positive review on Tripadvisor!
