“Don't miss the Sunset Bar at the Lake in summer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Great snacks & drinks (charbroiled Burgers and tropical cocktils last time I was there). Pricing is slightly higher than average, but the ambiance and the crowd at the outdoor "Sunset Bar" make well up for it. More a place for friendly locals than tourists, so please behave ;)

“Restaurant Review”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We did not stay at the hotel but stayed next door (up the hill) at Brienzersee Hotel and they highly recommended that we go to Hotel Seeburg for dinner. We followed the path for 2 minutes from our hotel down to the front door of the hotel/ restaurant and Riggenberg ferry landing stage. We were there on opening night for the 2013 season in early May. Was not very busy this night but could see needing reservations in the busy season. Very friendly people, wonderful atmosphere and exceptional food. Beautiful lakeside restaurant, full view of the lake and mountains. Can not wait to go back there.

“an enjoyable evening with gorgeous food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

We were just coming home from a trip to Lausanne and it was almost 9pm when we arrived at Seeburg. But despite being late we were greeted cordially and given a very nice table. I have a laktose intolerance so when I mentioned this to the waitress she showed me the page with the dishes for people with lactose intolerance- as this was not what I had in mind, she first seemed to be frustrated but agreed to ask the chef whether MY DISH could be done to suit my needs, and of course it could.
The food was excellent, I had hare (Hasenschlegel) with asparagus. My husband had a different dish which was really very good as well.
What we did not like so much wast he rather straight forward mood of the German waitress (which is really not what Swiss are normally like- they smile at you, make you feel welcome)but we dicided to ignore it and enjoy the meal.
Bye the way, if you are there don't forget to enjoy the beautiful view over the lake.

“Lovely friendly hotel, great views, amazing food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012 via mobile

Stayed for 4 nights as part of a tour of Switzerland and couldn't ask for a better place to start! Lovely room with full lake view, friendly, helpful staff, great restaurant. About an hours walk in to Lucerne, but the bus stop is just outside the door and they sell the tickets in reception. The road can be a bit noisy, but it goes fairly quiet at night so not a problem. Make sure you visit Mt. Pilatus and if it is raining you can fill a day at the transport museum 10 minutes away. Must also mention the reps from Crystal, Sam and Casey for the help and advice while we were here.

“Sunset bar: fantastic location// terrible service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2012

Being on a fantastic beach bar, great view and enjoying the atmosphere couldn't be better, BUT the service couldn't have been more disappointing. What happened: the manager came by and told us after more than 2h sitting and buying lots of drinks, that we have to go because he didn't instruct his team not letting anyone to seat there!! And now all the other lounges were occupied, what forced us to leave the bar. Very poor behavior!!!
