“Great place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2014

We stayed for a week at the Angels Lodge and it was overall a really good experience. The owners and staff are extremly helpful and service minded and seems really interested when they ask you how your day was, everyday we spent some time in the reception discussion snow conditions with the owner. They also helped us with dinner reservations, ski pass and transportation.

The rooms were very clean and spacious enough for our need. Only negative thing is the breakfast, it would be good to have some sort of none-sugar cereals and maybe porridge, and also warm eggs instead of cold once.

You can easily walk to the ski-lift from the hotel or take the bus.

Really recommend this place!

We book this hotel last minute on the first of January and we were really happy about it. The room was big, quiet, clean and the very friendly staff had arranged a cot for our son. There is an amazing outdoor Jaccuzi. There is a shuttle stop for the main places of Engelberg just outside of the hotel and you can walk in 5 minutes to the "city" center. The breakfast is simple but good.

Room Tip: We had room 25 which is more or less facing the main road of Engelberg but it was really quiet, so n...

We stayed for 3 nights during our Switzerland holiday vacation. Right from the time of booking until check-out the staff was very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean, continental breakfast delicious and plentiful, the jacuzzi under the crisp snowy evening sky seemed decadent, the location within an easy walking distance to the ski hill, train station and many restaurants. The staff recommended a variety of restaurants, and then made the reservations for us - great choices each time! I had let them know ahead of time that we were arriving on my daughter's 30th birthday, and they even had a delicious cake waiting for her! We had a wonderful family vacation and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

I stayed here with my family for two nights. The rooms were clean and superb. The owner himself came to fetch us from the train station and carried our heavy luggages to our room. Everything was prepared beforehand, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located within walking distance to everything but there is also free bus around the town. A perfect stay and we would definitely come back to this hotel again!

We stayed here for two nights over Christmas. The staff could not have been more helpful and inviting. The owners provided appetisers and drinks on Christmas Day in the bar and socialised with the guests on an informal but professional basis. We enjoyed the evening very much.
The room was spotlessly clean and had mountain views. With children, we had a room with an annexe type room with two single beds which was perfect.
The bathroom was on the small side but had everything you need.
The lodge itself is about a 10-15 min walk to Mt Titlis and about the same walking distance to the main shopping area of Engelberg.
Continental breakfast was lovely with fresh breads, pastries, cheeses, hams and nespresso coffee. Very clean and spacious dining area.
No tea or coffee facilities in bedroom was the only thing missing.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor in I think room 30. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids perfectly. Lift only goes to...

We stayed for 3 days in this hotel -- we came to ski -- and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is close to the the Titlis mountain slopes lifts, and that's why I chose it. The hotel is about 15-20min walk to the center of the village and the monastery, but that wasn't really a problem for us. The hotel is superbly run, and the service was exceptional. The room was a bit bare (curtains couldn't cover the window well) but this was not a problem at all. The sauna and whirlpool are an added bonus. The tapas served with drinks at the bar were great!

We loved our short weekend stay here. Great location, staff, and B&B. When we come back next year we will stay here again.

Perfect for families and close proximity to the all the attractions near by. The breakfast buffet was very good and fresh food.
