“Old bistro ambiance with delicious deep-dish pizzas, great location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

A Geneva icon. Perfect location, good value and interesting decor.
The bar-tenders are not as friendly as the waiter, who was cheerful and attentive.
Age d'Or has been making pizzas like these for over 50 years and the result is tasty.
I would bring family, friends but probably not business customers, as it is rather laid back.
Having said that, I was there at an odd hour, between lunch and dinner.

“Pizzas way to small”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

The pizzas cost around $13 and claim to be big/normalsize pizzas. But what you get is a small microwave pizza wich is not even the half sie oft a normal pizza. Its way to expapensive and there is only a cheap paper with the meals writen on. I dont recomend this pizzera.

“Excellent Italian in Geneva”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

I was visiting Geneva and was looking for a place to have an early dinner. It turned out that most restaurants open at 7PM and after visiting 2 other places which were closed I happened upon Age d'Or. Being a new yorker - I have pretty high standards for pizza and I was surprised to find such a good place in Geneva.
The Pizza is Chicago style - i.e. deep dish. It was simple and excellent - not over complicated.
Coupled with a decent wine selection and appetizers (we had a simple salad), it was simple and tasty.
Service was impeccable without being pretentious.
Finally - in an unswiss way, this restaurant is very affordable.
So to sum it up - good, simple food, attentive good service and affordable, in Geneva it's unbeatable.

“Tiny pizzas, mediocre service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

I went there having heard great things about this pizzeria. It claims Fresh Home made pasta, but only has one option to choose from. Pizzas are tiny, value for money is not that great if you have a large appetite. And service was really borderline, no smile, slow service. The place is quite charming, and is well located. But I would definitely not go back.

“Old world pizzeria”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012 via mobile

This place could not be more convenient to the main train station--just one block beyond. Small pizza, about 9 inches in diameter, range in price from 9-12 Swiss francs. The ambience is very cozy. I would gladly return.
