“Pizzeria for the whole family!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Lovely place to be and enjoy a hearty meal (pizza, pasta, etc), any time of day.
Only downside is you can't make reservations, so you simply get there and wait.
Our wait was nearly an hour but surprisingly our lil one (7 months) was so quiet because she was preoccupied with watching other kids play and run around.
The food was delicious ( pizza ) and their wine selection is decent.
We will definitely visit again, now with the weather getting better, they have a big terrace!
The prices are average for geneva.
Bon ap. and enjoy your pizza in Luigias!

“Contemporary setting; traditional food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Luigia doesn't take reservations so you'll just have to count on a 15-20min wait, sometimes longer. The receptionist told us 20min; we were seated and ready to order within 15 min! Service is quick efficient and pleasant.

The setting reminded us a bit of the Vapiano restaurants in Germany and Austria: open kitchen, some high bar-like tables (others normal height with normal
chairs). But at Luigia's food is served at the table.

The quality of the dishes was wonderful. Pizza's of quality served in the south of
Italy: thin crust, best quality ingredients for the topping. Only St Marzano tomatoes (less acid!), excellent mozzarella. My pasta dish (Norma, with eggplant) was a little salty. We didn't have time for dessert at the end of a lovely after-concert dinner, but the desserts on the tables around us definitely looked worth trying!

Convenient parking on the street or in the parking of the shopping centre.

Highly recommended!

“One of the best choices for pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

Have been here several times now and always enjoy it! Try the vesuvio, its a classic italian take on a deep pan pizza. Theres a good choice of wine & service is always very friendly & prompt. You can't book but I have never had to wait more than 15 mins for a table and always go on weekends. Atmosphere is always buzzing compared to most lacking places in geneva!

“Fun, loud and definitely family oriented”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Luigia doesn't take reservations, but once you go there and eat then you understand why. At the entrance there is always a mob, you practically have to walk through a human wall of flesh to make it to your table or to walk out of the restaurant once you are finished. To say it is very busy at Luigia's is an understatement. From experience I can tell you its always better to eat at busier restaurants; this way at least no matter how the kitchen screws up the food you are guaranteed that they'd do it with fresh food. Simple Logic! But you don't have to worry about the kitchen screwing up the Food at Luigia's, the food is excellent. The atmosphere is a lot of fun with something for everyone there. You can see the BCBG crowd alongside the who's who of Geneva with their families and children eating and having a fun time. It's the only restaurant I can think of in Geneva that reminds me of the restaurants in Italy which are always ready to accept a table of eight, ten or however big or small the family is. Yes, Luigia's can accommodate large groups at the drop of a hat. But get there early once the crowds arrive you are bound to wait sometimes up to forty-five minutes but the wait is worthwhile and oh! By the way you don't have to worry about the kids driving you crazy while you're waiting, eating or when finished. Luigia's has a children's corner with game tables and so on. It's one of those restaurants where the kids will always say yes to because they know they won't be sitting there bored to tears once they're finished. They can get up run around and play and that's ok. Everything goes...

“Family friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is one of those rare places, a family friendly resturant in Geneva, well at lunchtime anyway.

Lunchtimes at weekends its packed with families, it even has a little kids play area.

It is expensive, where in Geneva isnt, but the pizzas and pastas are good, one thing that does let it down for a family orientated establishment is that it doesnt actually have a kids menu, something I hope that they consider.
