“A wall to remember”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

This immense wall is a tribute to Jean Calvin and his friends who promoted their version of the Reformation in the 16th century. The immense sculptured heads of these preachers rival those of Mount Rushmore and occupy, perhaps, a similar role in the history of Geneva. Repelling Catholic armies from places nearby in that century in the name of Calvinism was an important element in civic pride.

“striking images on white Portland stone”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

The founding fathers of the Reformation are celebrated along the length of this imposing wall in twice life siize figures. Luther, Calvin and Knox I expected to see. But Cromwell is also there plus others I was not familiar with. The words of the Lords Prayer and a declaration of the Pilgrim Fathers atre incised into the wall in English, French and German langauges.
It is located in the beautiful Parc des Bastions. As yoiu gaze at the wall, the handsome University buildings are behind you. In front, above the wall, it is slightly disconcerting to see the poles of trolleybuses swishing along rue to Croix Guerre.

“A Must See in Geneva...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

This attraction is within the Parc des Bastions, a place where you find random people coming together to platy chess then leave... the Reformation Wall is a nice place to learn about the history of Geneva. The four men who made a difference in the history of Geneva deserve your time. Once you are done, en a short walk to the old Geneva is worth taking. Up the hill you would se the longest bench that entered the Guinness Book of Records.

“Simply breathtaking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

The Reformation Wall is in the corner Parc des Bastions which in its own right is beautiful to see. If you have any interest in religious history, or the Reformation itself, take the time to observe the monument to those that made it real for all of us.
