I'm not a big fan of churches and cathedrals as I tend to find all of them looking a bit the same. but BE ATTENTIVE when visiting the cathedral in Geneva. This church was initially built as catholic but converted into protestant (thanks Calvin!). You will notice a facade and architecture that reminds of Catholicism, but please note that inside there are NO saints, no jesus on a cross, no pictures, paintings, golden stuff etc. pretty unique and amazing, almost makes you feel like it's half-empty because we are used to see cathedrals more decorated.
if the weather is nice, don't miss a visit to the towers, yes the stairs are a bit long, but the view from the top is worth it! you see the whole lake, city and mont blanc in the background. BEAUTIFUL!
