hotel location fine, room quality ok, but dont expect service. Staff rude and miserable in the hotel bar and restaurant. would not return.

Montbrillant was nicely located near bus and railway stations and walking distance away from centre. One block away from bus stop to the convention centre. Room was clean but extremely small (appr. 10 sq meters). Service was good and restaurant downstairs served great pizzas.

Major drawback was missing A/C. During my stay, extreme heat wave harassed Central Europe and ceiling fan did not provided any help.

Overall, it would have been quite neutral experience without heat wave. However, my opinion is, that Montbrillant is not four star Hotel as sometimes advertised. I would give 2.5 to 3 stars.

Whilst this hotel is conveniently located and has an attractive lobby and bar area I did not enjoy my 4 night stay. The single rooms are extremely small - claustrophobically so-and there is no air conditioning. The noise of the train station and the construction work combined with the heat makes it extremely difficult to sleep and is no way compensated by the location. This hotel is much too expensive for what is offered- there are no gym or other facilities that one might expect for the price.

As mentioned by the previous reviewer, this hotel is ideally located for those travellers with luggage, travelling to and from the station. With the ramps it did make manovering the suitcases and our childs pushchair easier.

We had a room on the fifth floor. The room itself was a fair size, but did feel a little cramp with an extra bed. We did not have any air-conditioning in our room, just as well as it was "cool", raining and windy when we were there. Our room had a small sky light window. Otherwise, was nice. The only other point is, when you book this hotel be prepared for a lot of train noise, due to location.

The hotel staff were vey friendly and helpful. As it was the finale for the Geneva festival (an hour long fireworks display on the lake), the hotel staff gave us lots of advice on where to go and stand to view this, and handed out umbrellas as it was raining.

Breakfast although average was a little disappointing. A larger selection of breads etc would have been nice.

Overall, for the price we paid for our stay this hotel was good.
