The hotel sits near a park and the lake and is a pleasant 20 min walk into town. The hotel had a nice setup in that two rooms came off of one hallway. We could lock our individual rooms or lock the hallway door and then have easy access to each other’s rooms. One room had a queen bed and the other was advertised as two twin beds, all beds just a little on the soft side. The room with two beds turned out to be two twins stuck together with no room to pull them apart. Each had its own bedding but it would have been better if there had been a little space between the beds.
The rooms were very clean with carpet on the floors. We ended up with smoking rooms, but didn’t notice any residual smoking odor, even in the bedding or curtains. The room had a trouser press, arm chair, desk with a chair, phone and free wi-fi if you have your own computer. There is a charge to use the computer in the lobby area. In the wardrobe were extra pillows, an umbrella you can borrow, or buy, and there was an extra comforter under the luggage rack, which was good because I found the room to be cool even with the radiator turned on. The comforter on the queen bed wasn’t quite big enough for two so we each had our own. That was warm enough.
The TV had several English channels and not all news channels; some had movies. Also, there was a stocked mini-fridge with a charge for all items used. In the hall outside the two rooms was one of those automatic air freshener sprays that went off periodically.
One bathroom had the typical European size shower the other room had a bathtub/shower. There were two towels per person and face cloths, lotion, soap and a hair dryer. In our bathroom there was a rack above the toilet to stash a cosmetic bag and a little room over the sink for a few things. The faucets were a bit stiff to operate in both bathrooms.
Breakfast was all cold items – three cereal choices, cold meats and cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread, rolls, jams, Nutella, etc., and cold hard-boiled eggs. Hot eggs could be ordered for an extra charge.
We ate dinner at the restaurant a couple of times and had good meals and great service. We had great service from everyone in the hotel. They exchange money at the front desk and when we ordered in a meal from a local pizza place they paid for it and charged it to our room. Don’t know if there was a fee for that.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay but it was expensive. Our first night we paid almost $300 per room and the next two nights it was just under $200 per night.

Dear Guest
Thank you so much for your very detailed review and comments about your stay at the Hotel Eden. I am delighted to read that enjoyed you stay with us and I will certainly forward your compliments to my team. We will have a closer look at the faucets issue. As you mentioned, we offer free WIFI and hardwired Internet in the entire hotel; we only charge for the hardwired Internet in our business corner. I am glad you found our front-desk service convenient. We do not charge a fee for receiving pizzas or other deliveries from our local partners: we charge to the room only what is charged by the provider. As for the cost of our rooms, our pricing including free buffet breakfast is in line with our competitors in Geneva, and can vary according to occupancy rates. Unfortunately, the high Swiss Franc is making Geneva an expensive destination for many of our visitors.
Thank you again for having taken the time to post your comments. We look forward to your next stay with us.
