“Good value central location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

We spent one night in Geneva so wanted to be as central as possible on our budget, and the Kipling did not disappoint. Flying in, the hotel is in easy reach of the centre's Train station so convenient with bags and free transport ticket from the airport. On check in you get a free transport card. The trains and Trams are nearby and reception are happy to help with letting you know which ones go where. The lake is close too, we got to see most of the sights in the limited time. As a further note it's on the right side of town for the city car hire offices if like us you picked up a car. (The Europcar office is just at the top of the street!).
Hotel room very clean and has all you need, even coffee and tea tray. Also free wifi is useful for local research!

My husband and I spent two nights here on a weekend trip to Geneva. Although we drove we never used our car because the hotel was conveniently located near the tram station and walking distance to many areas. The room was comfortable and a good value for Geneva. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on that but overall we enjoyed our stay!

This hotel is part of a group and having stayed at other hotels in the group I was not surprised to find another well run hotel. Although only 3 star it exceeds expectations, starting with a welcoming, knowledgable receptionist who was efficient and presented us with maps of the city and travel passes which are included in the stay. The room was clean and modern and very pleasant bathroom. There was free wifi, and tea or coffee in the room. We had booked a room only and did not take breakfast which was a little expensive. The hotel is well positioned close to the main station and a short walk to the lake. The only downside is that the area is very mixed with some dodgy streets and characters in the near vicinity.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and chose it because it was relatively cheap by Geneva standards and had decent reviews on Tripadvisor. Check-in and check-out was no fuss. The room was nicely appointed. The king bed was two single beds put together which we actually liked because it meant we didn’t disturb the other’s sleep. We had no issues with sound in our room and the shower had a good water pressure. The free wifi had good signal and was moderately fast. The travel pass, which allows unlimited travel on the public transport system within Geneva for the duration of your stay, was provided to us automatically. We didn’t eat at the hotel as we thought breakfast was pretty expensive. The hotel is handy to Cornavin, where all the trains, buses and trams depart from. You can either walk to Cornavin or if you have luggage you can take the tram for one stop. There are enough places to eat nearby the hotel. Other reviews have sometimes included concerns about the area in which the hotel was in. We walked together always and didn’t feel unsafe at any time. Overall we were really happy with our choice of hotel in Geneva as it can be pretty hard to find somewhere that is comfortable but not outrageously expensive.

For a 3-star, this place was great. Great decor, clean, terrific breakfast. We had an executive room which had a large balcony and even though there was no real view to speak of, nice to sit outside. Short walk to the rail station, and while we do not use them, you can use facilities of the other Manotels that are half a block away. Can't imagine a better 3-star than this, really.

Our stay was wonderful and the staff was very helpful and courteous. They printed out train schedules, gave us directions and travel passes and even let us check in 4 hours early. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the main train station ,and about 20 minutes (walking) from Lake Geneva. There are cafe's, Vietnamese, Japanese, Middle Eastern and Italian restaurants nearby as well as retail and convenient stores.
