I booked a weekend trip to Geneva so I wanted a central located Hotel and but as we would arrive late i really wanted one easy to get to from the train station.
I had booked a regular room at Hotel Royal and when we arrived we were met by the message of the hotel being overbooked and that they'd had to change our booking - to a Juniorsuite. I am usually never this fourtunate so I was very pleased to end up in a room with a huge bathtub and a balcony on the topfloor! The bed was very comfy and I only which I had booked more nights.
The Reception staff was great. They gave us a map and loads of usefull information.
The breakfast was good, just what you need and therer were not too many people, so no queeing for food!
Like most peopple have said though the area does feel a bit dodgy, but I never felt unsafe. Also the tram stops just outside which is great.
