“Awesome hotel and great prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

I stayed with my wife in this hotel for a weekend. This hotel exceeded all our expectations, because it offers a really great service in a nice and modern atmosphere. It is ranked as a 4 star hotel, but it has nothing to envy to many 5 star hotels. Fine dining and a cool bar with dj playing almost every night make this place a perfect location to stay for a weekend and have fun! Rooms are really clean and modern, with digital tv, free wifi, minibar and a comfy twin bed. Really enjoyed it and will come back again on a future trip to Geneva.

We stayed there in April 2013 for 3 days and loved it. Hotel was hip, fresh and very cosy. I think it must have been relatively new at the time, only about 5 months in operation.
Staff members young and friendly. Loved the breakfast buffet, with its slightly different menu compared to other hotels.

This hotel is not typically Swiss; It is modern, good value for money and prides itself on excellent customer service. Quite a novelty in Geneva. What I particularly liked was that the staff smiled and were friendly, that the room had a smart TV so there was a selection of channels, and that there was a universal socket, meaning I didnt have to go out and buy a converter. The only criticism I have is that the bathroom emphasises style of practicality. So whilst the shower looked good, the water leaked on the floor.

This is a very edgy, trendy, innovative hotel. The design is really good, with some really good features. Some of the "features" need a bit of tweaking, but we found the hotel to be very comfortable. The beds are very comfy - and I really like that every day there is a new, crisp, and fresh duvet cover on the bed. Hotels with comforters and blankets that are used from client to client sort of grosses me out - having fully freshly laundered bedclothes added to my impression of spotlessly clean quarters.

The lobby is very interesting, from graffiti art to interesting sculptures to artfully designed common areas - and the use of color - very nice. Very cute bar area, and a small cafe and bakery built into the hotel increased the multi-functionality of the hotel -- locals stop on their way to work to pick up a coffee and a croissant - or stop after work to enjoy a drink/snack. We did eat in the cafe once - and the burger was to DIE for. We did not eat in the formal restaurant (next to the breakfast area).

The breakfast buffet (included) was phenomenally good. A large assortment of meats, cheeses, salad type items, croissants, sweet rolls, various breads, hard boiled eggs, crepes, scrambled eggs, lox, mushrooms, bangers, bacon, all sorts of fresh fruits, yogurts, about 5 types of different fresh juices, and bottomless coffee (plus more I am sure I have forgotten). Exceptional.

We had one issue - which was related to a "dance" party being held in the hotel on a week-night. I was not in Geneva for fun - this was a work trip - and I specifically asked for a quiet room. When we checked in, they had already accommodated me - putting us at the end of the hallway, away from the lift. I found that to be uncommonly excellent attention to client preferences - normally these requests end up with "lip service". The room was beautiful (especially liked the adjustable color light display in the room and under the bed - hard to explain - but just so COOL). Anyway, the music from downstairs was loud - the thump-thump from the speakers was vibrating our windows! At 11 pm I called down and asked when it would stop - and they said midnight. At 12:10 (unable to sleep) music, still thumping, I called and they said 1:00 am. At 1:06 am, still thumping, I called down and asked to speak to the manager and expressed my displeasure and my need to sleep for a busy workday. The manager had left for the night. About 1:15a it stopped. I was pretty angry at that point. The next day, the day clerk spoke to us right after breakfast, expressed her concern and said the manager would be in at 9 a. By the time I got home from work that evening - the manager had already "comp'd" our room for one night. That was incredibly appreciated - and the fact that it did not require a battle with a manager illustrated to me a commitment to quality and excellence. It went a LONG way in regards to goodwill.

So, the long and short of it is that the place is trying to be a top location - appealing to many different clientele - and trying to balance the needs of many. They were really terrific to us. They care.

The place is NOT cheap - but the location is superb (2 short tram stops from Cornavin Rail Station, or a few blocks of a nice walk). It is on the #15 tram line that goes right to the United Nations and OMS (WHO). The #15 tram is a main line and takes you almost everywhere you want to go around town. This hotel is nicely located. I DESPISE the places around the Cornavin Rail Station - do yourself a favor and stay here. Cornavin station area is full of thieves, pickpockets, and tourist traps - this hotel is close enough to wander the area, but also far enough away that you don't feel like a "mark". They have attentive security too.

I will be back. Sweet place!

Room Tip: Go for the upper floors and request the opposite side of the hotel from the restaurant area (probabl...

My first time in Geneve. Not easy to find an hotel with a mix of design, music, accomodation and a special touch in terms of privilege care. N'vY is a very good hotel, with "no common" rooms and atmosphere, a mix of Dalì and Wharol, lot of fun and music, with a special guitars blackboard and art's works.

As usual in Geneve, is not cheap, but their customer satisfaction will is one of the leverage to be one of the best hotel in the city. Even after an email about the mini bar, they decide to return back my money to preserve their awarness.

Great and even funny to walk from the historic centre, crossing the bridge and arrive in the hotel for a superb cocktail.

Room Tip: 5 floor is really great!

Surprisingly good hotel in Geneva, really trendy too. Lovely rooms with great entertainment center, great bar and good food downstairs. Not cheap, but then again, what is, in Switzerland....? Staff at reception and bar/restaurant are young, smiley and really helpful. Nice place to come back to.

Advantage:
Bathrobe and slippers
Lovely interieur
Nice sound on TV and many channels
Good information on arrival and card included free public transport
Free wifi
Waterboiler in the room
Not so expensive wine in the minibar 8 Franc for 25 cl (everything is expensive in Geneva :)
Warm personel both at the reseption and cleaning
Ok fitness rom

Disadvantage:
No hairdryer in the room, at least I could not find it
Expensive breakfast 30 Franc
On saturday night is it a litle bit sceary walking the streets with some men standing drinking on the corners (maybe they are harmless)
At daytime and other days it was no problem.
20 min walk to the centre, but the walk is lovely along the lake, and there is good conection with tram two min walk from the hotel.

I recomend this hotel very much!
