We have chosen this centrally located hotel in Geneva. They promoted free WIFI in the rooms. We stayed in a room on the 5th floor and had no internet upon check-in. After we complained we were told it is broken on some floors and they gave us another code. This connection was very slow and I was unable to connect to the work network via VPN. Webpages did not open or only very slowly. If a hotel promotes free Internet they should deliver this or leave it.

The rooms were adequate, a bit too much furniture. The staff were friendly and offered free coffee for the Nespresso machine upon check-in which was a nice gesture. They also provided a voucher for the public transport. All in all it is a adequate location for leisure but not suitable for business due to the limitation around the Internet.

Parking is very limited and reservation can not be made for it. We however managed to get a parking space.

Just off rue Lausanne, Design Hotel F6 is very central but away from the noisy train area. The immediate area has extensive food services ranging from supermarket/coop take-aways to a variety of restaurants of differing offerings/prices. The hotel public spaces are minimalistic, but well thought out and everything is spotless. Reception is efficient and provides all the necessary codes at check-in. The free wifi is rapid and the same code works for multiple devices. The rooms range from smallish to spacious for the studio we stayed in. Almost twice the size of a regular room (for only a small supplement), the studio has considerable storage space throughout and the kitchenette is well equipped (stove, microwave, fridge, utensils/plates/pots). Although there is no airconditioning, a call to reception brought a speedy fan delivery, but this was a very hot July so might not otherwise be an issue. The breakfast buffet was constantly replenished, offered enough choice and great freshly baked viennoiseries. In the context of the high costs in Geneva, this hotel provides good value for money.

This small hotel is close to Geneva central train station. I book a Room that includes a kitchenette, a Nespresso coffee machine which is nice. No air condition in the rooms. I paid $300- per night and find it expensive.

When arriving at the Hotel we were left waiting at a deserted front desk for a good 5 minutes until a member of staff walked past with dirty dishes. He then didn't even aknowledge us and carried on. He then came back a minute or so later. While checking us in he took another phone call while we were mid conversation and didn't even excuse himself. We were then offered coffee for the room and while I dared to take two (for each of us) he yelled 'One ONLY Madam!' and if i wanted more I must pay for them, which we did.
We were not told where or when breakfast was being served in the morning and when I dared to ask he ignored me completely and would only deal with my husband.
As a government rule all tourists to Geneva are now entitled to a free bus and tram pass, however when we asked about this he questioned why we would need one as we were only staying one night! We then arrived to our top floor room which can only be desribed as an 'Attic Room' and as we are fairly tall we spent most of our visit hitting our heads on the pitched ceiling. The bedside draws couldn't be opened as the furniture had been so tightly squeezed into the room.
Also the hotel it's self is not in a great location, quite far away from the main town and down a back alley. I think that all visitors to Geneva could definatly find better hotel at a much more competitive price. At £220 a night I was disgusted and want other visitors to Geneva to BEWARE of this hotel.

Room tip: Asked for a room on the 1st or 2nd floor
