“Lovely hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Beautiful bath rooms with nice products, and excellent breakfast making it good value for Geneva. Really enjoyed my stay there. The rooms are nicely decorated and staff were very polite. Good location with options to eat out. Free wireless at good speed. I would stay for work or a holiday trip. I will go back for another stay.

This hotel is 1/2 block from the lake and it is close to old town Geneva, shopping districts, and within a short walk to the train station. We enjoyed the location and the service at the hotel but found our room was too small for 2 people with 2 medium suitcases. We had to clear off the desk for one suitcase as there was no room anywhere. The bathroom was very small and the toliet was in a very odd spot in front of the sink. Very awkard! The bed was only a double bed and for the price paid I would expect a larger room and bed. If I am in Geneva again I will not stay in this hotel again unless I can get a larger room and bed.

Room Tip: Make sure you request a large room with at least a queen size bed.

Hotel is in an excellent location for seeing Geneva. Front desk staff were very helpful and a real credit to the hotel. Rooms are clean and tidy, well appointed, as is the bathroom.

Good free Wifi coverage. The wall sockets take standard european plug adapters.

Only minor gripe was the previous occupant had been smoking in the room but not the hotel's fault though room could of been aired to clear the smell. This is a very minor point and would recommend the hotel and stay again.

Starbucks around the corner, trams and bus stops very close by as is the lake / river.

Hotel is good value for money, location is quiet for a good nights rest and beds very comfortable.

Great central location and most areas are within easy walking distance or simple to get to by the excellent tram system. The hotel was clean and the rooms certainly comfortable and above average. However, everything seemed more expensive for what you got than other hotels on our travels, although it is ceratinly as good as can be achieved in centra Geneva for the price and worth recommending. The nearest car park is over 400 metres away, though.

I stayed on a business trip at the end of February. The hotel is in the heart of Geneva city center, between the Cornavin station and the river and conveniently situated for the trams and buses that are the easiest way of getting around.

The Rotary has a relatively small number of rooms, but this gives the hotel a pleasingly relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are a good size, with a large and comfortable bed and good space for working. The WiFi is fast and reliable. The bathroom is also well appointed. The bedroom furniture is of the "shabby chic" style.

The bar is good - accompanied by a real log fire in winter, which adds to the charm. There is a small restaurant, which we did not use, simply as the centre of Geneva is full of excellent restaurants with every kind of cuisine.

One disappointment is the high price of the breakfast - but there are cafes around the city centre which offer better alternatives.

The staff were always very helpful and courteous - a great place to stay in Geneva.

Unless you're prepared to pay the price for a luxury hotel, you'd be hard pressed to find better than the Hotel Rotary. It's about a 5 minute walk from Cornavin train station and about a 2 minute walk to the bridge (one of a number) across the water. There are restaurants aplenty close to the hotel and a department store around the corner for last minute gifts; chocolates were a bit cheaper there. The hotel itself is hard to fault. The staff are all very friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable (and include robes and slippers) and the breakfast, although very expensive, is great. The freshly prepared omelettes are a definite must. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Just few steps to the river .. Internet there us free and so fast .. Price is good .. Staff are nice and friendly. There is no parking in the hotel but there is a near by parking. I greatly recommend this hotel for people who would admire the classis style .
