Have you ever tried the original Luigia restaurant? (Downtown Geneva)
If you loved it, I bet that you will love their second address, on Geneva's right bank.
This italian restaurant is replacing another italian restaurant (La Fontana di Trevi).
It is located in the residential area named "Petit-Saconnex", on top of a small commercial centre. There is a very convenient nearby bus stop (line #3 toward "Gardiol", get off at "Tourelle"). Parking usually is not really a problem, not like downtown!
Another plus versus the original Luigia: The terrace where smokers can enjoy their cigarette. As it is outside, it's allowed by the law.
Ambience inside is a bit less crowdy and noisy than downtown, but as I went there on their second day… Can't tell how it will turn in the future.
After discussing with the two managers (Silvia and Andrea), they had a good start, with a full restaurant on the first day (Sat. September 1st 2012). On Sunday evening (Sept. 2) and on Saturday Sept. 15, it was also almost full!
Good for them.
I am certain that the place will be quite busy every day…
No bookings permitted but open 7/7. Same concept that made the success of the downtown version of Luigia. Once the place is full, you will be handed a "pager" that will vibe and flash as soon as your table is ready. While you wait, do not miss the Spritz aperitif… made of Aperol, Prosecco, 1/2 slice of orange and some ice cube. Tasty!
Food is as good as downtown, which means excellent! Highly recommended!
Ok some pizzas are at CHF 44… but soooo good! They totally worth it!
I'll get beck there hands down!
