“Recipe of the sweetest delicacy in the world!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

A few hours after I visited stettler chocolates laboratory, ! A warm welcome the moment you enter the door! Was served with a cold orange juice and a double cream sweet chocolate. After ,a more welcoming guide Rob' who gave me a plastic overall, head cover net and plastic cover for the shoes giving hygiene the first priority. I liked the way he explains every detail about the whole production process, from the varieties of the cocoa trees, regions they are grown, harvesting, fermentation, drying, classification of cocoa, different aromas used for blending high quality chocolate.
He didn't get tired of demonstrating the process involved in making this nice goody ,not forgetting Tasting!mmmmh!:)
The different machinery involved makes the work easier.
After I received a nice red pack full of stettler chocolates!
It's certain that" love is just like eating a large amount of chocolate!" (John Milton, the devils advocate)

If you want to know the secret behind chocolates, then make a point of visiting stettler chocolates!

“superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2011 via mobile

we stayed in switerland for 3 weeks and this was one of the best highlights. we reserved one day in advance and got a private tour of the chocolatier with am amazing chef, he spoke good english and explained everything in detail.
we also got free bags of chocolate for each at the end. we payed 20 francs per person which isnt much considering you get the guided tour and free chocolates.
tip: go when you're hungry!

“Gorgeous, Brilliant, Yummy!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2010

I went for a tour with my partner - for 25 Swiss Francs each we had an hour tour with demonstrations and tasters along the way. The factory was much smaller than expected but this gave us a chance to talk to the different members of the team and observe the different parts of the process. You get to dress up in a white coat with hair and shoe protectors which was fun! And you get a small gift on the way out!

Note - you must book this in advance! We were told they only do tours in groups of 5 or more, but luckily another group of 3 had also booked so we were able to do the tour!

“learn the secrets of chocolate-making”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2010

Stettler run a delightful cafe and shop, behind which they have their "laboratory". Book up in advance for a tour, which promises free tastings and a free gift at the end, at a cost of 20 francs per person. You'll get kitted up in white coat, shoe covers, hair net and face mask, and are then escorted in for a well-prepared demonstration of how Stettler mixes its chocolate, how to make and fill moulds using different types of chocolate, how to roll, cut and cover marzipan in chocolate, see other sorts of machine and some amazing things made in chocolate. lots of "here's one I prepared earlier" but you could see how it was all done, and get stuff to taste. Friendly guide, and tasty free "paves" in your goody bag at the end.
