My husband and I spent four days in Perugia, after a week in Orvieto for the winter jazz festival. So much is said about Venice, Rome and Florence, but we thought Perugia was as interesting as these cities. We weren't the least prepared to see medieval in the scale of what Perugia offers. And San Fiorenzo was the perfect complement to the experience: the building is fantastic with its history and character, the room very clean and functional, the hosts Luigi, Monica, and their two boys are a delight and extremely helpful, the breakfast has an irresistible local flavor, and it is situated in an extremely convenient location. We plan to attend the summer jazz festival in Perugia in the future, and most definitely want to stay at San Fiorenzo again.
