“A Home away from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2008

Stayed here for 1 week early October, My wife and i stayed in Il Gelsomino and 2 friends stayed in Le Rose. Look at the web site, for once the pictures do not do it justice (it is really that good)
Megan and Lino are perfect hosts, they will offer you advice and are very helpful but certainly not intrussive.
The property itself is impeccably kept, with a pool and views to die for. Every thing is so clean, and sooo quiet at night
You do need a car, which is a given for most Villa type accommodation.Great position to go on day trips around Lake Trasimino, Perugia, Assissi, Spoletto,Sienna just to name a few, and then, on the way home call by the super merkato and pick up tea.
All the Units have their own out door/patio area with open fire BBQ. Can't speak highly enough of this place and the owners.
Feels like a home away from home.
You can even use the washing machine, and each unit has their own portable washing line or you can use the big one at the bottom of the garden.
Book early for this Villa its going places.
Thank you for a great stay Megan & Lino

In August we stayed in the cottage La Casetta in the grounds of the main 300 year old farmhouse Villa Rosa, Montemelino near Perugia. We had the most wonderful holiday and besides the gorgeous views and interesting hill towns towns to visit daily our hosts Megan & Lino really were what made our stay extra memorable. We highly recommend this place to anyone.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2005

My husband and I rented a one bedroom apartment that is part of the main house, but with its own entry and perfectly private. We had a small patio with a covered arbor. The apartment had a top-of-the-line kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There was a large center island with bar stools so plenty of people could gather around. The living room was nicely furnished and had plenty of magazines to read. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spacious and well-lit. Megan and Lino, the owners, are a very charming young couple. Megan is Australian, Lino Italian, and they both speak impeccable English and are full of information about places to sightsee, best roads to take, and good restaurants, etc. There's an excellent restaurant within walking distance to the Villa, but otherwise you will need a car since the Villa is out in the country. It's not very far, however, to Perugia and many other places. The vistas surrounding Villa Rosa are very beautiful and serene. My parents stayed there last month (March 2005) and were as happy with the place as we were!
