“It's OK but ....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2014

Nice old fashioned hotel in wonderful location but our aircon failed after 2 days, and the free wifi is extremely weak, the signal very poor in our first floor room. We were told it was "because many people were using it" and it would be better in the lobby. The first is simply wrong technically, that would overload bandwidth perhaps but not reduce signal strength, and the lobby was equally bad. We had asked for a twin room, and were given a double, they denied we had booked it until we produced the email, though to be fair they did fix it. It's pleasant in an old fashioned sort of way, but I feel 4 starts is rather generous.

We are a group of 8 in the hotel...2000€ for three nights !

Take binoculars with you to watch the minute TV.
Do not ask for soap in your room when the cleaning staff do not replace it because the reception will tell you it is strange they forgot to put and you need to wait for staff to come in at 0900 before you can have soap.
Forget about the hairdryer in the bathroom because it has no tube attached to it.
The hotel needs upgrading and updating. It is old decor and they just charge so much because they are in a key position. Three star hotels offer the same service and quality.

We sent an email before arrival to let them know we wish to speak to a manager about a project will be running the area. We never got an answer.

We asked to print a page at reception. We will try to get them a discount from somewhere to get a new printer.

We will not be return customers.

Room Tip: Just do not go there unless the price is low.

I went to Perugia with my wife last October for the Eurochocolate Festival! To tell you the truth it was better than i expected! The hotel is in Piazza Italia which is the main square of the festival! Everything was fantastic! Very tradiotinal. Everyone was very kind. The room was perfect...clean,quiet and with good spaces! I believe is excellent choise especially if you go to the festival.
The city is very beautiful! The view is amazing! There are too many places to visit!
I recomment the Hotel , and the Eurochocolate festival! Chocolate EVERYWHERE!

I wanted to be in a hotel in the old historic center and La Rosetta was perfect. Our room was quite large and so was the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. From the top of the escalators (coming from the bus station) the hotel is only a very short walk across the piazza. The price was about right. Since it is a hotel and not a B&B the feeling is not personal but the staff were generally quite helpful. Almost everything we wanted to see was in easy walking distance. The breakfasts were plentiful and varied and the staff really on top of things. I did not eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on that. Being in the town center there was a lot of street noise (even though our room was over a pedestrian only walkway) at night in addition to church bells. We were there five nights and found it a most convenient location.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper try to find a room not on the street.

This hotel is most conveniently situated and offers a degree of comfort. . My room was large with a delightful view over the rooftops to the Umbrian hills beyond. The breakfast is substantial and the female attedant so kind and helpful. The reception staff on the whole are also very pleasant...notably the females. The restaurant is interesting...presided over by the owner who I was told is 87 years old. The waiters are somewhat of a mixed bunch. One who has had a previous mention on TA is fortunate to remain employed. His rudeness is breathtaking. He is easily recognized..bald head and white glasses. The other staff manage to deal with non English speakers in a resigned kind of way. the food however is something to be appreciated.

Room Tip: Request a room with a panoramic view

Perugia is such an amazing town, and this hotel has one of the best locations: in the historical center, near everything. Also the hotel restaurant is in Michelin guide, for sure a plus.
We stayed in room 123, great view from both windows. Nice and clean accomodations. Hope to come back again.

This old hotel has a lot of character in a city where most of the buildings on Corso Vannucci were built during the middle ages. The rooms are old but large. The decor is unique with a european flair including frescoes on the ceiling. A truly italian experience. The location is superb right in the center of the city where you can walk to restaurants and tourist locations. The restaurant in the hotel is wonderful. I have dined here several times and always order the pasta with truffles. It is a delicious "primo" that will have you begging for more.

Room Tip: Corner rooms then to be larger. I like the rooms with windows that open onto Corso Vannucci. Other...
