“Great ambiance, ghastly food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012 via mobile

We were enticed by the gorgeous garden and unfortunately horrified by the food. Turkey slices out of a vacuum packed supermarket container, old rotten rocket, shocking truffles. Lovely service that couldn't possibly make up for the overpriced meals

“Good service and food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

This restaurant is part of the hotel of the same name. We had a good evening meal here. The service was efficient and friendly with a good number of waiters. The food was well prepared and attractively served. A large wine list which was reasonably priced. Not as good as La Taverna or Settimo Sigillo but you will not be disappointed.

“very good food; fairly priced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2012

We knew of this place because we stayed at the hotel in the past. THe food was very good, well prepared, and special - there was an assortment of tastes that was optimal for each dish. The roman artichokes were superb, as was the ravioli with walnut sauce. The service was friendly, not stuffy, and polite. Also doesn't feel like a tourist trap. House white wine is good; and there's also a beer option.

“The best restaurant in Perugia, by far"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2011

We loved the restaurant - the food (fresh, prepared to order, beautifully served), the maitre d' (Luca) who worked hard in the heat of summer and was always attentive and gracious, the atmosphere (beautiful garden), and the location.

“A disappointment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2011

We were attracted to this restaurant by an honorable mention in the Guide Michelin. The dinner was a disappointment. Soups that could have come from an institutional cafeteria, a veal dish that was very tough and so salty it was inedible and flabby, fried vegetables dripping with oil and tasting like left-overs from lunch.
It seems that word about this restaurant has gotten around, as all the other people we observed dining there were guests of the hotel by the same name.
