“The National Gallery of Umbria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2014

Wonderful. The Peruginios especially, but there's also Duccio, Giotto, Martini, Piero della Francisco and many others. Loved it. If you enjoy art, there's nothing to dislike. We went back three times to 'do' it all.
If I was being critical, it wasn't well managed, the post cards are just where people are queuing to get tickets and even on a day when it was free to get in, they made us go back down to the shop to get a free ticket so they could ignore it as they waved you in. NB Its not usually free but not hugely expensive.

“Very interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

The exhibition of art held at the Galleria Nazionale takes you from the middle ages right up to Baroque times. Most of the art consists of icons and frescoes and other paintings, including selections from Perugino and Rafael.

When we bought the tickets, we were not offered audio guides, but I'm sure there are available.

“Fantastic Umbrian painting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

The contributions of Umbria to the history of art are significant, and this museum has some magnificent works, including important paintings by Perugino, Piero della Francesca, Gozzoli, Pinturicchio, and Fra Angelico. If you care a whiff about Renaissance art, you must not miss this museum. Unlike many Italian towns, Perugia has gathered up the art from its various churches and collected it here. While you might miss seeing things "in situ," the works are well taken care of. And the Signorelli show was unparalleled.

“Relaxed and simulating visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

A relaxed atmosphere, the children found it as interesting as the adults; the shop is small but with a good-quality range.
