“Fresh and flavorful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Our dinner here was one of the freshest, most refined meals we had in the entire two weeks we spent in Umbria, Florence, and Rome. The carpaccio was amazing, and the local Montefalco wine we had with it was great, too. Very attentive service, and a cool upstairs space. The people at the huge communal table seemed to be having a great time, too.

“just excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

we were staying in perugia on a motorbike trip, our guide francesco loves food and motorbikes and arranged our meal here as a group of 12, you won't be dissapointed at all in any dish you choose. we had the multi starter of meats and cheeses which was top notch in taste and quality and a montefalco wine reccomended to us all.
it is simply decorated inside but all the better for it. great atmosphere to eat in aswell.
service was when you needed it without being fussy. we were the only non italians in there too.

“Fresh, Locally Sourced Food Prepared with Love!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a lovely little restaurant located above a wine/delicatessen shop. It's important to book ahead as it fills up quickly. While the menu is not extensive, it offers great local dishes and an incredible wine selection. The staff is very friendly and attentive and did their best to communicate with us in our limited Italian. My husband had "Ragu Bolognese" and I enjoyed a terrific meat stew. We shared a bottle of wine and ended our meal with a ricotta crostata, yum!!! The ingredients were very fresh and it was obvious that the food was prepared with "love" (the key ingredient in any wonderful dish). Well worth the visit, great restaurant!

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Everything about this place is perfect. We initially went there because of the range of Italian craft ales, but were immediately side tracked by the huge range of wines and lovely food. Everything is locally sourced and the food (we had a pasta dish and a pudding) was just great. The staff are lovely, despite my Italian being terrible, and we made a return visit to the shop for beer to bring home. This restaurant is worth the trip to Perugia.

“Fantastic Umbrian Cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

An excellent little restaurant, on the floor above a wine shop and deli. I had conventional Umbrian Ragu Bolognese, the wife had Truffle Pasta (both excellent). We had a ten item antipasto before, complete with 3 different honeys in tasting bowls (with little spoons) to accompany three different cheeses. All super. What a great place to eat.
