“Great asset”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

What a super idea. The mini metro runs between parking areas and the Fontivegge train station to the Centro Storico or old town Perugia. Two words of advice- pay only with coins as euros or credit cards don't seem to work and keep your entrance ticket as you need it to exit at the other end on the station. The trams run every few minutes.

“So easy - and fun. Park at the stadium”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Park at the stadium stop (end of the line) for plenty of parking space and then take the monorail up into Perugia. So much better than driving. Cheap - €1.50 for a single - and quick - cars every minute or so and about 10 mins to the top. Highly recommend.

“A touch of Nordic in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

That gives a European dimension to the city; very practical and beatiful aerial train, it leads you from the down plan to the very up-center of Perugia (Corso Vannucci) in a fast and silent way, with an interesting panorama !

“Not the prettiest thing I've ever seen but brilliant nonetheless”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Stand right at the front on the way down, it's like yr flying!! Excellent piece of engineering and so very easy!! Park in Pian di Massiano and it costs €1.50 for one trip - get tickets from machines which offer all languages. So easy and it's fun. If you miss one, another is right behind it. Very very clever and it means that, once your up there in the old town, there aren't that many cars so it's a much more pleasant (and safe) environment. Lovely!

“Fantastic way to get p and down”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

A constantly running little system. Easy to use with the escalators but you do have to get to know where they are. The final station at the bottom has a huge market every Saturday morning which is well worth a few hours.
