I visited a few years ago on a day trip with my mum. We stopped to buy a bottle of wine for my father in a local shop in town and asked the owner where he recommended eating.
He told us this place was the best in town even if slightly more expensive he said was worth it.
We went in, the furniture is antique traditional pieces, nice paintings, and nice atmosphere, no loud speaking, a quite background to enjoy the food!
We opted for a selection of regional specialties, we thought it might be little to fill us up, but it was actually the contrary! We had plenty, well presented, all perfectly cooked and any doubt the waiter was more than happy to clarify, from how the cheeses were cured to info about the making of the dishes.
I warmly recommend visiting the town, which is simply amazing and this restaurant too.
