My wife and I stopped in Gubbio on our way to Asissi from Rome. It's a charming little city and well worth the visit, to walk the winding streets and check out its palace and lovely churches and shops. We happened to walk into La Locanda del Duca looking for a bite to eat, and saw a bustling rustic trattoria with a varied menu including pizza. I had pasta with dark truffles, my wife had a pasta with a creamy sauce...Both were delicious, as was the salad with shared...The clientele was mostly Italian day-tourists...the place was very busy...Great if you're traveling with kids, or a picky eater...You can't go wrong here.
