“Encounter with greatness”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

In a tiny lovely village on top of a beautiful Tuscan hill you can watch the early work of Leonardo da Vinci. He was an engineer and a dreamer. It is amazing to see how many great ideas this one individual created single handedly. After inspired visit in this museum go to the house he was born in and grew up, just outside the village. Vinci definitely worth a detour !

“Interesting, not enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

As a fan of Leonardo's work, i was excited about coming to the museum. The restorations were very nice. Honestly, I expected much more than only restorations, maybe showing parts of his diaries, paintings etc. Even so, if you get to Vinci don't miss this attraction.

“Not that impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

I was not that impressed with the museum. It is small, just 2-3 rooms in two separate buildings. There are exhibits of models based on Leonardo's works, produced by universities and the like. They are of course very interesting and the ingenuity of Leonardo is unquestionably beyond remarkable for his time. Visitors can hire an audio guide, not too practical to use though...and must return the device back to the first building. There is a tiny cafeteria nearby.

“The Godfather of Engineering”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

Beautiful museum with an interesting walkthrough of the stages of LdV's accomplishments. Nearby is the Church of his christening baptisation and his birth house. Charming medieval city! Located between Florece & Livorno.
