Just returned from Tuscany last week. Only stayed one night at this hotel and found it to be so different from your run of the mill hotel!
The character of the place is great. Good location within few minutes walk of Duomo.
Seems to be set around a courtyard which was a great suntrap with chairs, tables and parasols and lovely for our breakfast.
The room seemed a bit austere compared to the San Gallo in Florence where we stayed the previous night but on opening the shutters we were presented with the most fantastic view of the valley! I was often to be found in various stages of dress just gazing out the window!!
Room had good firm bed, LCD TV, mini bar and air-con. There was a kettle in a wardrobe but no cups or anything so don't know what that was about! Bathroom was modern though small. There was another door in our room and I guess it was so you could link up to the room next door? We were on first floor - no lift, but receptionist did take one of our bags up.
Rather a gem of a place really if you're looking for something different!
